A Stairway to Paradise

"BANG! BANG!" roar the guns

of war. Here and there they all soar

Flashes of light blind my eyes

Over the commotion I hear dismal cries

Flames of fire devour my school

That's already drowning in a crimson pool

Children rush out faces streaked with tears

ُُThis devil over all other fears

Sirens begin to blare

Aiding in "welfare"

Don't cry mother everything will be all right

Because the all mighty sustainer will guide us through this

Fight

Hand by hand I hold my Mother

But her mind is in a perplexing smother

Just hold me tight

And we'll get through this dreadful night

Mom! Mom! Where are you?

Thrown before me with her head askew

Dad! Dad! What do we do?

But he's next to her already too

My fragile heart shatters to infinite pieces

That by their sight only increases

A tear crawls down my cheek

But I tell myself I mustn't feel meek

I must stand tall and proud

Over them shall be a shroud

Guarding them till the Last Day

Where they will start to climb that stairway

Above their heads will lie the crown of dignity

Of Glory and Honour and Supremacy

They shall stand alive in His provision

Neither of them calling for rescission

I will pursue carrying His Name very high

And if that means I die

So be it!

And I say this with boundless grit

Just then I hear a resounding CLICK!

So I turn around, really quick

and I look them in that abyss of belligerence ignoring the guns

in hand. And I shout to them "This is our  Motherland!

You want it back?! Go through me!

Take me to my family!

To His sublime heaven

Maybe even paradise number seven

You can go thank the devil when god

Sends you all there for the lives you flawed!

This world is His and to you he will spurn

To him we belong and to him we retur-!"

Don't look down, look above

Away and away flies the dove

Her wings spread wide

with liberty and pride

I am close, I am near

But far away from that place I called fear

I spread my own wings and close my eyes

As I climb higher and higher over the skies

The blinding glow showers on me

As I take step one, two and soon three

Magnificent gates welcome me in

There in the distance I see two pairs of arms

Wide and open
