Yú was a pretty happy guy, he was in love with and was with the girl of his dreams and was even dating her. In his mind, he felt like there was nothing that he couldn't do as long as he had her support. They had both graduated high school and have been adjusting to life, which was about four or five months; Yú had been with Yui for about three years and he thought that it was about time to take their relationship to the next level. Yú asked Yui if she wanted to move in with him, she said "yes" without any hesitation and embraced him with a warm hug. They both pitched in to buy an apartment and got their things, within a matter of weeks, they had settled into their new home and were ready to start their new life together.
Two years passed and they were still as happy as the day they had gotten together. One day, Yú was walking home from work when he passed by a jewelry store when he got an idea. Yú walked in and bought a wedding ring for Yui so he could propose to her and when a man proposes, you know that he's serious about the relationship as well as scared as hell asking the question. Yú was confident though and made his way home, when he got to the door, he noticed that it was unlocked, which means that Yui was home. He walked in and heard some grunting or some sort of noise coming from their bedroom, he went over to their room expecting to find her masturbating, fantasizing about him like she normally did, but what he found would change him entirely.

Yui said in rage, "I NEVER LOVED YOU, THE MAN YOU JUST KILLED IS THE ONE I LOVED, WE'VE BEEN DOING THAT BEHIND YOUR BACK EVER SINCE WE STARTED DATING! HOW COULD I EVER LOVE SOMEONE LIKE YOU?! YOU'RE NOTHING, YOU'LL NEVER BE GREAT! I FUCKING HATE YOU YÚ!! STAY THE FUCK OUT OF MY LIFE!" she packed her things, walked out and slammed the door leaving Yú all alone in his apartment. A week passes and Yú had fell into insanity, he didn't go to work, he spent everyday at a bar drinking and smoking. A month goes by, he goes to work and works himself to the limit, getting hurt on purpose and still continuing to work. Four months go by and he's completly broken, his apartment a mess, trash everywhere, dirty dishes, the vicinity is almost toxic to a normal humam being. One year later, Yui comes back after realizing how much she in fact really did love Yú, she opened the door to find the place a mess.
"Yú, are you here? Its me, Yui, I realized that I do love you and that I want to marry you. Could you ever find it in your heart to take me back?"
She hears a thud come from the bed room, she walks towards it as a she sees a dead rat and flies feeding on it. The door is slightly creeked open, she looks inside to see Yú on the floor. She slams the door open and runs over to him to find that he's laying on his stomach, she turns him over to find him dead from both overdose and a slit throat. Mortified, she throws up and coughs, she looks back to him with tears in her eyes and sees that he's holding a note. She picks it up and reads it, it says,
"Dear Yui,
If you ever came back after realizing that you really did love me, I'm afraid you're too late. When you left me that fateful day, my life went down hill entirely. All I wanted was a simple life with you, the only women that I ever loved. Thank you for all the good times, I'll be sure to watch you from heaven as you fuck other guys carelessly like you did that day I found you cheating on me. Thanks for killing me, despite everything that you put me through, I still loved you till the very end.
Date: Feb. 14, 2018 Time: 3:45 p.m."
Yui took out her phone to check the date and time, "Date: Feb 14, 2018 Time: 3:44 p.m." Yui fell to her knees, if only she had been there one or two minutes earlier, she would've saved her soul mate's life, but no, just like how she realized her feelings, it was already too late.
