Airports can be sad but they can also be happy. You see all the time in movies, people catching planes saying good bye to their loved ones and others going to see their loved ones. Then there are the ones you see in romance movies you see a person going to catch a flight and the other one running throughout the whole airport to stop them and confess their feelings for the other one. Or maybe, you're just going on a holiday to somewhere beautiful.

"London and Georgina l'll miss you girls so much, take care of each other!"

"We'll miss you too, mum. Text you when we land!" After that we all share a good bye hug, I'll miss my mother but she wants us to go home.

Home, home. I'm Georgina, I'm 16. I lived in Oakland, California with my mother and sister London who's 18. My mother decided we should go home to where we grew up in Florence, we thought now would be the best time since, London just graduated from high school.

A few hours later and we had arrived in Florence and we are just looking for my father. London texts my mother that we have arrived and that we will speak to her soon, I don't know why my mother didn't come with us she said she had to work but I wish she had come with us.

"Georgina? London? It's been so long since I last saw you girls. Gosh you have grown into beautiful girls, I've missed you girls so much! Let's get you girls back home, it's going to be an hour drive."

The house is just as I remembered, it's so lovely and big. We carry our bags in and I fall asleep on the couch, damn jet lag!

"Georgina wake up honey. I've put your bags in your room so all you have to do is unpack."

"Thank you dad."

I really don't know why mum wanted to leave, this is a beautiful home. I decide to charge my phone since it's almost dead, there are some messages and notifications on Facebook and Instagram but I'll reply to them when my phone is more charged. I was so sad to leave Oakland, mum said we can go visit whenever we wanted but she wanted us to live with our father since we spent many years without him and only some summer breaks with him. I felt bad we didn't see him more because he really tried which is why when my mother said we are moving back there I didn't hesitate although I was sad to leave.

My mother works as a nurse so it's hard to get into contact with her and for her to reply at a text straight away. She works long hours and never stops, we hardly saw her but she mad it so we'd all have dinner together every night no matter what. My mothers parents live here so tomorrow my father is going to take us to see them.

I think it's really sweet that no matter how long my parents have been apart that my dad is always there for my mothers parents and they treat him like a son. They are like London and I, hoping that our parents will get back together. Mum told us the reason she left was because no hospitals in Florence were hiring and she wanted to do it so she applied to a hospital in Oakland. They would Skype each other but the marriage was falling apart because there was so much distance, my mum started seeing someone after they broke up and she realised that they could've fixed things and been closer than ever but she gave up and I knew she felt guilty for that,

Knock. Knock.

"Georgina, may I come in?"

"Of course you can dad, what's up?"

"First of all, how do you like your room? If you want to change anything you can, I remember your favourite colour is pink so I got you a pink quilt cover."

"I love it dad, one question though why is there chalk in my room?"

"Ahh, because sweet heart this black wall is a chalkboard. The other walls are white so you can stick stuff on them, feel free to decorate your room however you like it."

"I think I'll go buy some things tomorrow. Is that okay?"

"Sure it is, also I was wondering if you would you like to go get some pizza from down the road?"

"Sure thing dad, is it the one we use to get pizzas from all the time when we were little?"

"Yes, I'll call Mr. Gian and place our order."

"Okay, thanks dad. I'll be back soon. I'm taking my phone so if you need me call me bye!"

"Make sure you take a jacket because it gets cool quite quick in the afternoon!"
