"Y/N, come on!! We gotta run," Oscar screamed at me over sirens. I quickly jumped down the "Private Property" fence, Oscar right behind me. We ran as fast as we could with cigarettes in our mouths and beer bottles in our hands. "Follow me!!" Oscar grabbed my empty hand, making me run faster. He knew this place inside and out from being here all the time.
"Oscar where are you taking me," I exclaimed a little scared. I've been here many times before with Oscar, but never this far in. Soon enough, the sound of the sirens became distant and we were safe.
We stole cigarettes and beer from a store, and when we were heading out, the store manager noticed us and called the cops. We ran to Oscar's "secret hideout" (not really secret because it's in the middle of nowhere) until we couldn't hear the cops anymore. Oscar and I sat there for a couple minutes to open our beers and light our cigs. It wasn't long before we heard the cops again. Now here we are, miles behind the fence.
Oscar and I have been dating for three months. We found each other at a party where we clicked instantly because of our similar lifestyles. I never see Oscar during the week because he's never in school. I really only see him over the weekend when we do shit like this.
"That was close babe," I let out a puff. Oscar and I lied down side by side, on the grass. It was quite peaceful here.
"I know. I'm just glad we're still here, together," Oscar faced me. He looked at me with those gorgeous deep blue eyes. I leaned in to kiss him. He kissed me back deeply, assuring me how much he loves me.
I smiled into the kiss, pulling back. "See Oscar, it's times like these when I wonder about us. How we're not like the other couples out there," I sipped on the beer.
"Fuck those couples. We're us. We're Oscar and Y/N. Forever," Oscar grabbed my hand and kissed it. How did I get so lucky to have a guy like him. He's so perfect. "I love you, Y/N," Oscar blurted out. I looked at him in disbelief. That was the first time he's ever said it to me.
"I-I love you too, Oscar," I said stuttering looking him in the eyes. He kissed me again, me kissing him back. Our mouths tasted of cigarettes and beer moving perfectly in sync with one another.
As the sun was setting, Oscar and I decided to go home. "Here I'll help you get over the fence," he suggested.
"Oh is that your excuse to touch my ass?" I giggled while starting to climb the fence. Oscar laughed and helped me up. Once we both got over, we started to walk home.
Oscar and I walked hand in hand for what seemed like hours. It was completely dark outside by the time we got to Oscar's house. We ate dinner quickly, then cuddled on the couch watching a movie. During the movie, Oscar's phone kept vibrating and he seemed very distracted. "Oscar you okay?" I turned around in his arms, looking up at him.
His focus was still on his phone, "Um yeah. Everything's good." He quickly locked his phone when he noticed me looking at him. Oscar gave me a half-smile and proceeded to watch the movie. I turned around a little confused, knowing something was wrong.
"Oscar seriously what's wrong," I asked him again. His phone vibrated again. Knowing that his phone was the reason why he was being awkward, I grabbed it before he could. Tears instantly started racing down my checks. Oscar had three text messages from a girl. She was texting him dirty things, and he played along with it. My heart crumbled. "Oscar what the fuck is this," I growled in between cries.
"Honestly Y/N, I've been cheating on you," Oscar looked down to avoid eye contact.
His words felt like being stabbed over and over again in the heart. There was no point in fighting with him, because if he actually loved me like he said he did, he wouldn't cheat on me. I got off the couch and headed to the door to put my shoes on. "You know Oscar, I was gonna help you get your shitty life in shape by making you stop smoking, and start going to school, but fuck you. I was gonna stop with you too. Do whatever you want because 'Oscar and Y/N' are over. Forever," I repeated Oscar's words from earlier. He just sat there looking at me. Not even fighting for me. Asshole. "Drugs may kill me, but they will never break my heart," I mumbled slamming the door behind me.
