Chapter 1 - Moving In

It was the first day not at my old school. I was so anxious. I didn't know who to hang out with, what to wear or where to sit. I was directed to the principals office where they took all my information. I walk up to the office lady and she asks me "what's your name?"
I reply "Sarah Elaine Adams" she asks what grade, I replied "7." I waited there patiently as I see this shadowy figure In the back of me. It was this boy. He put the attendance in the slot and walked off. I kept rewinding the moment in my mind, so much that I started day dreaming. Then I heard this voice in the side of my face saying "follow me" I followed the office lady to my class. I looked around and there he was. The boy from the office. He was unknown. I was directed to my group. They gave us time to talk so I sat down next to a girl with purple hair??? I asked what her name was. She replied "Nerysse" I asked her why she had purple hair, she didn't reply. I see across the table a girl with a red iPod and black glasses. Her name was Melanie. Beside her was a girl with pink and light pink hair. Her name was Mauranda. They mostly chatted but I was more focused on that boy. By the time they were done it was time for lunch. We went out for recess first and I was just sitting on the wall. Alone. I was looking for that boy. But I couldn't find him. I was just reading my book and occasionally looking up to see if I could find him. I sometimes see Melanie run by but not all the time. I was looking at my book when I see the same shadowy figure beside me, it was him, he asked me what book I was reading. I said "the fault in our stars." He said okay, and walked away. That kind of reminded me of Augustus and the girls saying "okay." The bell rang and we went and ate lunch. Why couldn't I take my eyes off him? But he also kept looking at me. Melanie was like the love detector. He was also the master at ship names. She automatically new that I was staring at him. She asked me if I new his name. I said "no." He was unknown.
