It was my birthday, I was going to be 10. I was going to have a few friends come over and hangout, but no one showed, only my gramma and uncle, along with my mom dad and brother. My parents started arguing, and I could hear it from the living room.
" You couldn't even do her birthday right!! Your daughter is out there upset because no one showed up. Who's fault is that?! Yours!! You worthless piece of shit, your a shitty father"
" don't blame me for your mistake bitch!! I could have left you and your kids here but I stayed cause I didn't want them to be fatherless"
" They'd be better off with out a father then with you as one!!"
"Fuck you!!"

" Get out!! Get the fuck out!!"
My dad left, and my mom came out crying and rubbing her red cheek.
" where's daddy going?"
" he's probably going to the bar to get waisted like the worthless piece of shit he is"
My dad is an alcoholic, he's been clean for a long time, I hope he wouldn't go to the bar and ruin his years of being clean. After a while when everyone went home, mom got me and my brother and she drove us to my grammas, me and brother went in the living room and watch tv while mom and gramma talked about what happened. Mom had us stay with gramma for the night, when mom came to pick us up the next day there was no sign of dad, I was kinda worried that he really did go to the bar. When we got home he was sitting on the couch playing video games, he didn't go to work, and he looked perfectly fine.

I had just gotten home from school and no one but my brother was home, like usual. I went into the kitchen and got some ramen and sat at the table and did my homework.
-SLAM-
I jump straight out of my chair, my mom came storming in the house, she was pissed. After a few minutes

Dad walks in pissed, just like mom. I see him go into the bet room after my mother. I hear them scream and yell at each other
" Don't fucking walk away from me when I'm talking to you!"
" I'm fucking sick and tired of dealing with your sorry ass!! You need a life!! All you do is skip work and sit on your ass and play video games!! You don't even pay attention to your kids!!"
I went to my room thinking that I wouldn't be able to hear them, but it doesn't even help
" Stop being a bitch! You don't pay attention to OUR kids either!! Your always working and by the time you get home your to tired to pay attention to any of us!! So don't sit there and blame it on me when your part of the problem too!!"
" You know the only reason I'm with you is because of the kids!! I'm only here because of them!! I'm not happy being with you!! I wish you would just go the fuck away!!"
"Maybe i will!!"
"No no no your not going to be the one leaving me I'm going to be the one leaving you!!"
Everything g went silent, I was scared at that point, I ran into the living room, and I still didn't hear anything. My mom and dad then walk out of their bedroom and they call my brother into the living room.
" Ok this is going to be a little hard, we need to tell you something, and we don't want you to feel like it's your fault"
Mom trails off, then dad cuts her off
" oh my fucking God just say it, me and your mom are getting a Divorce"
"Damnit Tom you aren't supposed to just say it you need to ease into it you stupid fuck"
"God I can't wait to get away from you"
" Sense you can't wait then you can leave tonight, get a bag of clothes and what you need and go, you can get your stuf in a few days when I'm home to make sure you don't take something of mine"
" Fuck you! I'll get out when I want!"
"Now Tom!"

He left, he didn't even say goodbye to his kids. He didn't care. That's when it started.
