I walked onto the school grounds and avoided the dumb jocks, knowing they'll pick on me. I made it to my locker and grabbed my history book and sat on a bench doing my homework and makeup work while also waiting for my friends. I was scribbling away on my paper as my friend came up and said,
"Of course you're sitting here, writing away at your homework, which would be late if you didn't care about your grades. But if you did care you would've done it earlier in the first place."
"It's not that I don't care. I would just rather play video games and scroll through the depths of the internet."
She sighed and sat next to me, flipping through the pages of her book, finding the place she left off on. Twelve minutes past when the bell rang. She got up and walked to her homeroom class saying bye to me. I sat there as everyone walked past towards class as I was adding the finishing touches to it. I soon finished and sprinted off towards class cussing in my head,
"F***! I'm going to be late! S*** s*** s****!"
I almost missed my classroom door as I ran bye. I looked through the window and saw him taking roll. I ran in and sat in my seat, hyperventilating.
"Griffon." He called out.
"H-Here...." I said breathing loudly.
He checked my name and moved on. I opened my binder and took out a pencil and my notebook for this class, knowing we were probably going to do something boring....as usual.
"Today we will be..... watching a movie. I know we usually don't do this but...I've decide to mix it up this week." He announced.
All the students cheered as well as I.
"Settle down. It will be an educational film where we take notes. And we will be taking a test on this so, please. Just do the notes unless you want to fail this assignment."
We all grumbled, me placing my head in my hands. He turned off the lights and turned on the projector, playing the movie. All I have to say is, one of the most boring 54 minutes of my life so far. When the bell rang sighs of relief could be heard through the entire class. Everyone walked out, me towards the last few. Once I made it to the doorway Mr. Davis called me to his desk. Wondering, I walked to his desk.
"You're failing history. If you don't raise your grade before spring break you will be forced to go onto a learning field trip with other failing students."
I nodded solemnly.
"Do you have any assignments to turn in?"
"Yeah." I said digging through my backpack until I found the two papers I worked on this morning. I handed them to him.
"Thanks. I know you're a bright student. What's going on?"
"I don't know. I just don't like doing it I guess." I said confused, shrugging.
"Okay. Work on that. I know you can do it." He said.
I nodded. He wrote me a note to excuse me, why I was late to my next class.
I grabbed it and walked out to my other class. I walked in and handed it to the Grammar teacher, taking my seat in the corner of the class.
