the moving process

Stevie's POV

I woke up by the sound of the doorbell ringing non-stop. I rolled my eyes and slowly got up and walked down stairs. I slowly drag myself to the door. I was completely shocked from who I saw at the door.

"LUCAS! YOU'RE BACK!" I yelled and I jumped into my big brothers arms!

"Of course I am." He said hugging me back than putting me down.

"What are you doing here bug?" I said smiling as he walked into the house.

"I am here to take you from mom and dad, so go get your room packed up." He replied and i gave him a confused look.

"I am not leaving California what the hell are you talking about Luke." I raised my voice a bit.

"As you know mom and dad have been busy and barley are home anymore so you are moving to Virginia with Peyton and I." He strictly said.

I looked at him than rolled my eyes, than I remembered mom and dad were still here. I quickly ran into their room and saw my mom grabbing suitcases. I looked at my dad as he looked at me.

"Mom. Dad what's going on." I looked at them 

"You are moving with Lucas." My mom said.

"We are far to busy to be taking care of ourselves right now, let alone you pumpkin." My dad adds.

"I am not going anywhere I grew up here. I have friends here. I have a life he-" I quickly got interrupted by my mother.

"Stevie Renee! You are moving to Virginia with Lucas whether you like it or not. You are 16 years old you are not capable of taking care of yourself." She stated.

"I am very capable of taking care of myself!" I yelled back  

My mom looked at me than walked past me to my room. I sighed and just followed behind her. She opened my door and pointed to my floor.

"If you can't even keep your room clean what makes you think you can keep you clean or be organized." She looked at me and crossed her arms.

"FINE! I will move to this Virginia." I gave in because I didn't feel like arguing. 

-Skips the packing-

So it took a few hours to finish packing my room but it's finally finished. I took a look at my empty room. the stupid stripped walls. the wood floor. I grew up in this house and I just have to say goodbye like its nothing.

"Pumpkin, you have some guest here." My father yelled from the bottom of the stairs.

I took the last box and went down stairs. I soon dropped it when I saw who was here.

"JOEY! SARA! NIK!" I smiled and ran to them and hugged them trying to hold back my tears.

These guys have been my best friend since diapers. Joey is my neighbor and Sara's boyfriend and Nik is Joey's brother and my first love. Yet I never told him. Only Sara knows.

"So we heard the news babygirl." Sara said looking at me I just brushed it off and smiled because I didn't want them to see me cry.

"Oh um yeah, Lucas is coming back with a bigger U-haul right now." I said looking down.

"Hey hey hey look at me bugs, its going to be okay. we can always come visit and we can video chat and text." Joey said.

"I don't have a phone remember. My parents don't trust me with a phone. Yet they want me to move away from them." I rolled my eyes and chuckled a bit.

"Here you go Stevie." Nik handed me a box.

My jaw dropped when I opened it.

"The rose gold iPhone! No guys, this is too much." I said trying to hand it back. None of them took it.

"Its the least we can do." Joey said.

"You have been there for each and everyone of us when we need you." Sara added.

"We love you Stevie," Nik smiled, "some of us more than others." he said in a whisper. I looked at him 

"Thank you so much guys." I said as a few tears went down my face.

"It has all our contacts in it, and I set your screensaver as Matthew Espinosa cause you're like in love with him." Joey said, i laughed and hugged him.

"Hey, maybe you will move right next to him." Sara said jokingly.

"Oh I wish. I am going to miss you guys so much." I said smiling.

*beep beep*

"Lucas is here." I said putting my phone in my backpack and grabbing the last box.

"We will walk you to the truck." Nik sighed

We went to the truck and Joey took the box and put it in the truck.

"This isn't goodbye. We will see each other again." I said, They all nodded.

We did our last group hug and than we did individual hugs. I got in to the passengers seat of the U-Haul and rolled down the windows.

"I love you guys so so much!" I said as we slowly drive away.

They waved and ran to the corner of out street. I saw Sara cry, it broke my heart seeing my best friend cry.

"See you later Stevie!" They all yelled in unison. They looked broken. I hated it. I didn't want to leave, I couldn't leave, but it was too late now.

"You'll find new friends in Virginia." Lucas said and he pat my shoulder.

I ignored him and put my headphones and blasted Gavin Degraw 'I Don't Wanna Be' and slowly drifted to sleep. Virginia here I come.
