"Me and my girls." Was the text Sydney received from the love of her life, Taylor Davenport, at 10:30 pm one night. What? I thought I was her one and only... Sydney thought, feeling her heart break. She opened the text to see a picture of Taylor with her hockey team. "Ouch... my heart." Sydney replied, hoping it would let Taylor see that she'd hurt her. A second later, Taylor replied, "You're my girl too, tho." Sydney rolled her eyes, "I'm just one of many. You're my one true sweetie. I guess that's just how it is." Taylor just did not understand. Suddenly, another photo of her with her team came up. "Losing count of the girls." Was the caption. Sydney's eyes widened, and a tear slid down her cheek. "Why do you do this to me?After I open up to you." She replied, sobbing and lying in the fetus position. Her phone dinged, and she checked to see Taylor's reply. It was just dumb Maria sending yet another duck face selfie. Sydney rolled her eyes and blocked Maria. "Sweetie... No. Don't close up." A notification said. Taylor had replied.
Sydney blew her nose on her pillowcase and rolled her eyes. Don't try playing the sweetie card, honey. She thought angrily, but instantly regretted it. She loved T Davs. "I thought we had something, I guess it was just me." Sydney stared at her ceiling, which was covered in Warrior Cats drawings. "Purr..." She meowed sadly. Ding! Taylor replied. "We do. I sent you a heart emoji." Sydney checked, and yes, there the emoji was. Then she shook her head. Taylor was tricking her. She said that to everyone. "We have nothing. Who else do you send that to?" Another heart appeared. "Oh look, another." Sydney didn't buy it this time. "You're the only one in my heart, but I guess that just gives you more space to break it." She replied, before deleting the conversation. "I can't believe this..." She told her Warriors. They just stared back at her.
Sydney sighed, getting out of bed and walking over to the window. It was a warm summer night, so she put on some shoes and climbed out the window, sprinting down the street. She was on a mission. She sprinted down the trans canada trail, stopping maybe two or ten times to catch her breath. She turned onto Westridge and raced towards Taylor's house. She had to give this girl a piece of her mind. When she got there, she stood on the front lawn, looking up. Both rooms upstairs had lights on, so she could see in. One was filled with photos of goalies, with 'We are the Davenport Goalkeepers!' written all over the wall. "Kyle." Sydney muttered, spitting on the grass. She looked at the other window, which gave her a view of walls filled with a mix of Warriors and Lacongo posters. "Taylor." Sydney muttered, vomiting on the grass. She climbed up to the window, pulling herself in. There sat Taylor, Techdecks in hand. "Oh, Sydney! Hi! Listen, I'm so sorr—" She didn't have a chance to finish, as Sydney ran up and body slammed her to the ground. "Taylor? Are you alright?" Steve called from downstairs. "I'm fine!" Sydney replied, since Taylor was crying and couldn't speak. "Alright, Toot, I didn't want to do it this way, but you left me no choice. You broke my heart! You made me feel like Fiona. Ugh!" Taylor shook her head at that, wiping her snot on the carpet. "You fight like a true warrior cat, Sydney." Was all she said. Sydney instantly smiled. That was better than hearing Taylor confess her love. "Oh, Taylor. Thank you." With that, Sydney flipped one of Taylor's Techdecks onto her heart, and jumped out the window, sprinting home. All was well.
