The wind chill was colder than expected outside so the weather felt like it was below zero as Jasper walked down the snow covered path way, snow growing along the sidewalk like weeds, everyday more and more snow piled up. This is what winter was like in Wyoming cold, Jasper was here for one reason and one reason only.
Revenge.
But first every great superhero needs a sidekick, what he needed was a partner in crime and that's exactly what he was going to get. The night sky was filled with stars and a crescent moon, he had approximately two weeks before the full moon surfaced once again and he needed to finish his revenge plot before then. Jasper walked past an empty cafe almost blindly before he spotted a girl sitting alone in a booth, she had dark hair and pale skin the perfect subject for his current objective. He sauntered inside the small cafe, his eyes were sharp and alert, he'd heard many rumors about the people in this town Clearview Acres, "They're all diagnosed psychotics" or "They don't believe in God" or "They line the windows and entryways with salt to keep out the devils children." He'd heard all this and found it to be rather true, once he noticed his feet stepping over a line of salt in the doorway.
Jasper smirked and shook his head, 'These people have no idea what's really out there.' He thought to himself as he sat across from the girl's booth, he ordered a piping hot cup of coffee as black as the night sky and began tapping the wooden tabletop. His eyes darted back and forth from his cup of coffee to the girl, this girl fascinated him and he was bound to have her. He scribbled a note on a napkin and finished off his coffee tipping the waitress a twenty dollar bill. Jasper edged close enough to the girls table to drop the napkin onto the wooden tabletop making direct eye contact with her to show trust. It simply read:
"Up for an adventure?"
Jasper smirked and walked outside crossing the street standing against a brick wall with a cigarette in hand, his hair dark and greasy, his skin covered in intricate designs and patterns and most importantly his eyes, their sea green complexion held a sense of security and darkness at the same time, they could draw in any creature with a single glance.
