First Dance!

Tonight's the night of McCartney and I's first dance! As we were putting our dresses on and doing our hair and makeup we had so many mixed emotions! For example we were excited, nervous, scared, but mostly happy we were able to go. We went into McCartney's living room which smelled nice and felt homey feeling. We went to put on our shoes and walked to the middle of the room and we took pictures. Then we headed out towards the door with McCartney's dad and climbed into her red car and drove off towards the dance we went! McCartney and I's stomachs were flipping like crazy we were still in a mix of emotions but were happy at the same time. We went through a couple of little towns like Loraine and Mendon. I seen a lot of scenery like trees and houses as the sun was dropping little by little. We went through Mendon McCartney and I seen a lot of people that were in our grade walking to the dance as well. Then we got to our destination.

Once we got to UHS by the front doors we said our goodbyes as we jumped out of the car. We were excited but also nervous as we walked into the school we went up the mini stairs in the hallway. Then we were about to walk into the cafeteria we noticed that there were streamers on the top of the doorway. We walked through the door, streamers following us as we headed over to a lunch table with a student council member looking bored. McCartney and I seen the sign-in sheet and we both signed in for being at the dance in the 7th grade area. We both walked towards the other lunch tables we seen a few people we both knew. Then the DJ said to start dancing in the microphone and he played Cupid Shuffle to get everyone dancing. McCartney and I danced as well while laughing at our friend Zack while he was going nuts. After the first dance McCartney and I decided to buy a drink and sit at one of the lunch tables laughing at Zack.

McCartney and I kept walking around dancing here and there. As for Zack he kept trying to annoy us or try and get both of us to dance with him but we refused to budge. Then we both ate some cookies and decided to drink water for the rest of the night, instead of getting pumped up on sugar. Well not for Zack at least from my perspective he drank at least 7 Mt. Dew's and he was most definitely pumped on sugar. McCartney and I both started to get tired but we still danced from time to time we still were having fun! We decided on a song to request and I was the one to be brave and ask the DJ to play it. I walked up to the DJ and asked him to play the song he agreed to play it i said my thanks and walked off the stage. McCartney and I were finally dancing quite a bit then after our song was done playing the DJ said the show was over! That meant the dance was over and we could go home and sleep! McCartney called her dad to come pick us up. We decided to wait in the lobby and said goodbyes to some of our friends we had fun but we were super tired and wanted to just sleep away! McCartney and I went outside and seen her dad driving up to the doors while we were waiting patiently. McCartney and i both noticed the sun was all the way and we could see some stars and a little moon. Then we got into the red car and McCartney's dad drove us to their home. As i started to fall asleep in the seat i noticed McCartney was already out. But before i could sleep i looked outside the window and thought i seen the Cheshire cat smile moon. I smiled then fell fast asleep.
