This book was inspired by the movie "I spit on your grave."
I woke up to the sun shinning through the curtains and blinding me on the spot. Why the hell did Xavier leave the damn curtains open. He knows I hate it and he still does it. God, he is so frustrating at times but I still love his sexy ass.
I got up off the bed and went into the bathroom, washed my face, brushed my teeth and went straight into the shower to try and rub off some of what happened last night, if you know what I mean. We have been trying to have a baby ever since we got married five months ago but I was a little busy with work.
Xavier loves babies a lot and so do I. When I saw him and my baby sister playing together it brought tears to my eyes.
I've made the best decision in my entire life by agreeing to marry him.
He proposed at our college graduation. I remember it as if it were yesterday.
"Hunny, I'll be right back I've got something important to do" Xavier said to me and then kissed me on the cheek and disappeared in the crowd of graduating students before I could reply.
"Where is he going?" Asked my best friend Candice. "I don't know." I replied " He just said he had something important to do." I said with a sigh.
"More important than staying with you right now?" She asked
"Candice, I seriously don't know what's going on with him. He has been acting strange for a couple of weeks now and I have my suspicions that he is cheating."
"Really Nicole and you didn't say anything to me? What if he is cheating?"
"I'm just so confused right now. I want to ask him if he is but you know boys, he might say he isn't when he is. I've noticed he hasn't been buying any lunch or he just doesn't sit with me at lunch time because he's been missing from the cafeteria."
Before Candice could say anything a voice boomed through the speakers and everyone turned their attention to the stage. I was surprised to see that it was Xavier standing on stage.
"What is he doing up there?" Candice asked. I just shrugged at her question.
"Could I have your attention please, and can Nicole please come up here." Xavier said
"Go on." Candice nudged me. "And close your mouth before you start catching flies."
I looked at her and then closed my mouth that I didn't know was opened.
When I looked back around I saw everyone starring at me while parting like the red sea as I made my way on stage.
As I approached the stairs Xavier took my hand in his and pulled me on stage.
"What is this about?" I whispered to him.
"You'll see" he replied to me. I then turned back to the audience to see that some were smiling like they knew what was about to happen while I stood there silently not knowing what the fuck is happening.
"I don't know how to do this because its my first time doing this." He said while some chuckled. He looked back up to me and asked with this look in his eyes I couldn't place a finger on.
"Nicole..... loving you is like breathing, I can't stop, even if I tried I'd die. Your my best friend and the love of my life, what more could I ask for?...there isn't one person in this world that I want more than I want you. Your the best thing that has ever happened to me, I know I don't say it much but believe me you are and I cannot imagine myself without you in my life
