I woke up and buried my head further into my pillow at the sound of pounding on my door. "Get up Rye or you will miss the bus again and if you do I swear your out of here!" "I'm up", I yelled quickly as I jumped out of bed and began to get ready.

Ever since my parents passed away I've been moving from orphanage, to group home, to temporary placement and anywhere in between. It's been a constant for the past here years, ever since that day three years ago I've been moving on autopilot. Alive, but not living.  That is, except for my favorite TV show, Naruto. My councilor thinks it's a coping mechanism, a way to escape reality, but I think it's something more than that. I feel like I belong somewhere when I watch people like me, who've lost everything, but are too strong to let it stop them. It gives me a rush of power. Plus, I'm twelve, I can watch 'cartoons' all I want.

Once I'd gotten my uniform, that we were forced to wear to the private school I attended, I brushed my bland brown hair and rubbed the sleep from my cobalts before running down the stairs. I then grabbed my bag and rushed to the awaiting bus that would take me to school. It, like always, would go by like every other day and I waited patiently, or rather drifted off, until eventually I'd make it back to my 'home'.

And, like always, it happened just as such and I was finally able to settle on the couch to watch my favorite show. Naruto! I turned on the t.v. and got half way through the theme song when it switched to a man in a tacky suit with the news station sign behind him. What?! Oh come on.

"We interrupt this broadcast to bring you a special news report. There are reports of meteor showers in the downtown area. Expect to see them around seven and.... Blah, blah, blah" The man continued to talk but I zoned out  and instead decided that I might as well do my homework. I got it out of my bag and sat at the kitchen table before starting.

I had just finished when the house mother, a snarky and none to pleasant 'natural' blonde with lipstick the color of a tomato,  walked in carrying a bag of groceries, and in the process of putting them on the table, dropped her drink and spilled it all over my newly finished homework. " Molly look what you did! You ruined my homework", I yelled as I shot up from the table and tried to brush the drink off. "Well maybe if you hadn't had it on the kitchen table or helped me this wouldn't have happened you little brat", she yelled back with threat in her eyes. I turned to fully face her, only to  receive a swift slap across the face. There was silence as I turned and made y way to my room and finally let the tears fall on my pillow.

So here I am lying on my bed with a tear streaked face and snot covered pillow, eyes slowly starting to drift shut. My last thought before I fell asleep was "I wish I lived in Naruto's world".

"Rye, wake up", said a voice that sounded like the most beautiful orchestras in the world all wrapped into one. "Who are you? Where am I", I asked as I opened my eyes to look around the darkness. " I am many things my dear, but for now you may call me Watcher. I am here to grant the wishes of those who make them. Don't bother looking around child, you cannot see me, only hear", said the voice, Watcher. "So your going to grant my wish? Is that possible", I asked with confusion creeping its way into my mind.

"Yes my child. You will enter the Naruto world as one Sakura Haruno and live as her. You will begin as she did and work your way into being a great ninja. You will..." "Um, sorry to interrupt, but what will happen to Sakura if I take her place? She won't die will she?" I started to panic.

"No, my child. You see the only way for a wish such as this to work is if two people make the same wish at the same moment. While you were wishing to enter her world, she was wishing to enter yours. Do you understand?" "Yeah, I think so. Does this mean I'll have all of Sakura's skills?", I asked.

"No, my child. You will create your own path, a change within yourself. You will adapt however your situation may entail.... I have to go now child. You are awakening in your new world... And don't forget, your name is now Sakura Haruno." The vice then faded away and a bright light consumed my sight.

"Sakura, are you awake?"

A/N:

Sorry for the bad chapter. I just needed you all to know why and how she was here and about her new life and such. The next chapter will start her life as Sakura.
