Oh how I miss you!
While the clock ticks by
How much I think of you!
While gazing at the sky.
Every moment spent apart
How dearly makes me feel!
Tugging at my heart
Which to others seems steel.
I caught myself looking back
To the moments of utter bliss
Seeing you rule each memory rack
As tears my cheeks kiss.
Those days spent with you
Will never get old
Even with memories new
Yours I'll always hold.
Standing at the window
Stains on my cheeks
I hear the winds blow
One by one as our memory peeks.
So many years have gone by
Today as I here stand
Staring at the sky
Lost in my wonderland.
Slyly you reach out to me
Pulling me into you
Saying with me you'll always be
And I treasure another moment of the few.
Holding you near
As I begin to speak
Loud footsteps I hear
"Mommy" as our princess squeaks.
Crouching down
Giving her a hug
I look back with a frown
'Later' as you mouth with a shrug.
Your essence I miss everyday,
How you'd make me smile,
How together we'd play,
Till the sun masks every mile.
Years later sitting in the porch
With a soaring heart
As you approach
And to kiss me you start.
All our moments relieved
Just as I would crave
Nothing is grieved
As sorrows dig their grave.
Haven't lost the spark I tease,
As we descend the high
A breath as you release,
"won't till I die!"
