One Night Stand

Our wet bodies, the smell of sweat, our heavy breathing, and the filthy air. Asleep on a queen bed, Evelyn was beside me, laying down on my right arm, facing me with tiresome eyes as she closed them. We were both bare while sleeping with each other. Our bodies next to each other to keep the warmth we still had. Smiling like an idiot, I closed my eyes, tired from the love we made. Is this a dream I wonder?

The dark room, unknown to me, felt intense. A desk beside the bed I lied down on looked so plain. Looking down, there were clothes scattered on the floor. I felt cold and searched for warmth from Evelyn.

Evelyn? I flew back the covers and there was nothing but I on that bed. Her clothes gone but mine still lay lifeless on the ground. The blinds were opened as I was still butt naked from last night. I looked on the desk and found a note that read:

As restless as I was, I took a quick shower and left home.

I still didn't get to tell her. I didn't get to tell her about how I feel. That night was like a dream come true. She doesn't know how much that meant to me. If only I got to tell her that, I wonder what she'll say... Will she agree or disagree? But for 5 years now I've loved her. It'll be hard to let her go. I've been friends with her ever since freshman year of highschool, fell in love with her in my sophomore year. Now she's given me a one night stand. But she will never be able to know my true feelings, because I can't bear to handle it if she were to say no. This is my secret that only I know.

Back in my own bed, I replayed the night I was with Evelyn. My heart rate rose from the thought of her sweet voice, her dazzling eyes, and her graceful touch. But along came a turn off by these negative feelings. I can't be so hopeful, because she just agreed on a whim. My feelings can't get out of hand, because, well, it was just a one night stand. No feelings are to be thought. Only pleasure was to be traded. But then, I still love her, Evelyn.
