Chapter 1 On Earth

The gem portal closes behind me; I can't believe I'm here! I've waited ten earthen years to see this place and now I'm here. I look behind me, and as I turn my hair sashays onto my shoulder. I smile, as I see a small little beach house, right in the distance held up by a stone woman, it looks historical. I've never seen a human before, I guess today will be my first time. My bare foot slowly reaches down to touch the warm sand, as I walk forward the heat from the sand gives me energy.

'I'm here, now what?' I ask myself.

I walk slower towards the house, it slowly inching closer and closer to me. Then I break into a sprint, running as fast as I can my reddish-orange hair flowing in the wind as I reach the first step. I exhale slowly and lift my foot, and then the door opens. I run to the other side of the house next to the arm of the stone lady. There is a human boy standing on the porch of the house, he breaths in a deep breath and lets it out. I smile; he is only a poor human. He runs down the stairs and jumps off the last step; he starts to walk towards me! I keep my gaze on him and run the opposite direction. I slam into the stone lady.

"OW!" I yelp.

The little boys gaze flickers at me,

"Uh..." he stares, not letting his gaze go.

I'm still looking at him in horror.

"Hi, I'm Steven, are you a gem too?" he says happily.

I gasp, "What are going to do with me?!" I cry with my arms covering my face.

He chuckles, "Nothing, "He says, "Do you want to come inside?"

I curl my lips in, and exhale, "Okay, Steven."

Steven smiles, "Okay follow me!"

He guides me up the stairs holding my hand the whole time, smiling.

I walk hesitantly, up the white painted, wooden stairs.

"Why are you so scared?" Steven frowns.

"No reason..." I lie.

We walk through the front door, to see an incredible interior.

Stairs that lead to a room, with no walls, and the room has a bed, a TV, a videogame system, and a window.

"This is my room." Steven holds out his hand to show me the room I was looking at the whole time.

I smile, "I see that." I chuckle.

Then we walk past the stair case and go into a room with a gem portal, my eyes widen when the portal turns on and three figures appear,

One with an light almond short upturned hairdo, a blue shirt with a blue ribbon wrapped around the bottom with a bow flowing on the back and a yellow star in the middle where her chest was, with tan shorts and blue ballet shoes, she is very thin and tall, with a white gem on her forehead.

Another one with long white hair, a black tang top underneath a grey shirt with one strap around her shoulder, black pants with purple stars on the knees, white small boots, and she is chubby and short, with a purple gem on her chest.

The last one with a black block afro, a black, red, pink, and tan one piece clothes, with a star in the corner, and pointed glasses, she's really tall, and skinny.

Before they could spot me, I ran as fast as I could, up the stairs, and underneath Steven's bed.

"Steven, we brought you something back from our adventure," The really tall one said.

"Thanks, Garnet, what is it?" Steven asks.

"Oh, just a sword." Garnet says.

"Garnet!" The thin one says, "you ruined the surprise!"

"Yea, Garnet, just let him find out for once!" The short one says.

I try to move around uncomfortably and slam into something glass, that rolls from under the bed and falls causing it to shatter and also scare everyone around me,

"WHO'S THERE?" Garnet yells. I cover my mouth with my hands. Oh no...

They all take out their weapons, the skinny one has a turquoise spear, the chubby one has a whip, and Garnet has two hammer like iron fists for hands.

I back up farther behind the bed and my bare foot skids across something sharp, "OW!" I scream as i get a deep gash on my heal.

The foot steps get closer....
