- I'm sick of my parents always fighting! They already broke up two years ago, can't they just move on? Or at least fight when I'm not there, it's like they're waiting for me to come home...

- C'mon, you know that's not true. - By the way, this is Toby. He's tall, he has very pale skin (kind of reminds me of snow) , dark hair and he's from Alaska. I don't exactly know what part though, he never wanted to tell me. He's my best friend, along with Hope, but I'll tell you about her later. And I think that's al you need to know... Oh, I forgot something that makes him stand out fro other people, he has heterochromia iridum, what means he has a brown different colour eyes, in his case, one of them is brown and the other is ice blue. Basically, the only visible imperfection of his face is a small scar that he has under his caramel brown eye, which in my opinion made his face more interesting, perfection was boring. A couple of years ago he told me that he got the scar after running to is room with scissors in his hand after his mother told him not to.

His phone played the "Mocking Jay Call" indicating he got a message on his phone (we both love "The Hunger Games").

- Hunter, I'm so sorry, Hope just texted me. I have to go and meet up with her. - He said looking down to his phone. Then he raised his head to face me. - See you tomorrow?

- Sure, it's not like I'm doing anything with my life that needs all my attention or anything. You know where to find me. - A smile tugged at the corners of his mouth slightly marking dimples on both sides of his face. - Hey, where do you two go every day anyways? - I asked out of curiosity.

- That's for us to know and you to wonder. - He took his things, got up and started jogging in the direction of where he parked the jeep his father loaned him.

- I'm just saying, if you two are dating, being someone who has been in your company for over 7 years, I have the right to know about it. - I said raising my voiceso he could hear me, but instead of answering he hopped in the jeep and drove off.

Then I got up and payed for what we ordered in the cash register. Once I finished, I picked up my school bag full of my stuff and started walking back home. I could of payed for a bus or a taxi, but they were both crap and smelled like cigarettes in my town, anyway I liked the fresh air, every time there was a gust of wind it froze my face, which made me stay awake.

After a while of walking it started getting dark, I was probably half way home I calculated. The streetlight came on with a flicker, they come on quite early where I live, you could still see perfectly, but I guess too many people have fallen because of the ice that they'd rather have them on early than take the chance of having people slip. I turned around, normally when the lamposts came on, it meant the sun was about to set, and I personally love the sunsets here. The blue sky turned into a beautiful yellow, that faded and became orange, then pink, purple and finally a tone of impressive violet blue.

When the sun went down completely, I started walking again, today I was staying in my dad's apartment, which was just around the block and if I got home too late my dad would get really worried, then when I arrived he would hug me and ask me a bunch of questions, and then he would probably shout at me. I went around Mrs. Mary's house (the cat lady of our town), I could already see some the lights of the block at the top. There was a few people , maybe three or four I wasn't sure, walking on the street looking at me, but I didn't pay much attention to them, I thought they were the dudes that always flirted with me everytime they saw me. When I got closer I realised that they weren't the guys I thought they were, to be honest, I didn't recognize them at all, and everyone was familiar with eachother here because it was such a small town. I lowered the volume of my music incase they were lost tourists and wanted to ask for directions, but they didn't say anything, they just stood there looking at me. I kept my music lowered so I could hear them incase they asked me something.

After a while of walking with them behind me and not being stopped for directions, I decided to speed up the past, I didn't feel comfortable being followed. I felt like if they were playing with me, using me for their own amusement. I tightened the handles of my backpack, just in case they planned mugging me and stealing it and all my belongings inside. If they wanted to take anything belonging to me they were going to have to take a fight because I wasn't going to just hand it over to them.

I jumped the fence separating Mrs. Mary's garden from the street and turned into an alley hoping they would stop folllowing me. On the other side I called Hope while jogging... No answer. Then I decided to try calling Toby, maybe he would pick up the phone, but it went straight into the answer machine.

- Toby. I'm being followed, call me when you... - I started whispering while running, but I got cut off when a guy, maybe four or five years older than me, appeared in front of me. I jumped starteled and he smirked, as if that was the reaction he was expecting. He showed no signs of being tired, like if following a teenage girl who's running through the streets was a walk in the park.
