Prologue

If this is what heartbreak feels like, then it really truly sucks.  

It's awful. It's painful. It's undeniably the worst thing my heart has ever felt.

Don't make the same mistake I did, and set yourself up for this.   

But in order for you to not do make that mistake, you should probably know what I did to set myself up for this.

This is what I thought my happily ever after would be.

But it's not.

It's the exact opposite.

And it almost killed me.
