There love never dies

This is my mom's pov so don't get confused because after this chapter, the true story begins.

My name is Merlin; Merlin James. It's been two whole months since I've left my home and during 1 month I've gotten married. Happy as I was, my husband wasn't like me.... He was a monster of some sort, and no I'm not being mean here. I live in a world of disaster, a world I don't like being in, but unfortunately this is life.
Getting back to the topic, he never wants to tell me what kind he is, because he says "it's not important." but even if he wasn't human I still loved him,and thats why we both live in small house in a small village. So I'm very happy now because I'm having a child, and since this is my first child with my husband he is okay with it. I love him so much.

Its now been 5 months since I left my home. I still wonder how there doing, but I still hate them. After I was done looking at my husband chopping down wood from the backyard/ forest, I went on making dinner for tonight. When I finally realized that I forgot to get bread, I signed loudly. I was pissed, to find out now that I forgot to buy bread at the store. But Never the less I closed all the cabinets that I left open and opened the back widow to yell at Arthur that I was going back to the market. He yelled back saying " be careful out there the sun is setting!!" I yelled back "okay!" then I closed the widow, Only to see him waving at me so I waved back. Then ran up stairs and was looking arrowed for my sweater, and since I was wearing a white long dress I decided to wear a coat. I then went to look for some spare change through out my room. I found a few extra dollars in my closet laying on the bottom. I grabbed the money and dashed out with my sweater in my hand and the money in the other. I opened and closed the door, and walked into the dirt road leading to the center of the town. I was a little nervous being out of the house at a time like this, and was wondering if the shops where still open. I walked into the market I was in earlier, and noticed it was still open. I signed in relief and opened the door to find a women about my age begging the owner for food I look at her for a brief second to find out that she looked familiar to me. She has short brown hair and maid like clothes. I couldn't see her face in till I moved toward her, then I realized it was my childhood friend Kate. "Kate is that you?" I said nervously; she paused and looked at me for a split second before bursting into tears and jumping toward me yelling out my name and starting to saying things that I couldn't really make out what. Everyone in the store was giving us a weird look, and so I calmed her down and she was still the funny, nice, and lovable person I knew. It was her.

She helped me find some bread, and walked to pay with me. So after I payed we walked home together, we talked a little while walking . uh....... So ..... You still with Arthur ?" she starts " yeah" I smile warmly. " So what brings you here?" " oh .... Uh, it a long story I'll tell you when we get there". I was confused but rolled with it. It didn't take long to get there. I walked in, to see Arthur setting up the plates. I smile at him and he smiles back, then he noticed Kate coming through the door. He was surprised to see her, she than said "hi ..... Nice to see you again." He than smiled at her and said " nice to see you too, oh and thank you So much for letting us escape..... Thank you for letting us be together." "sure no problem." she smiled warmly. I than interrupt them and said who's hungry?!?!?!? I laugh " why don't we eat first?? Okay"."Then we'll talk." " yeah" they say at the same time. So we ate and after we ate I washed the dishes and said " so now can you tell me why your so far away form home". She signed deeply, like she didn't want to tell me.
But after she told me what had happened with my parent's house, I couldn't believe what she was telling me. She stared with Monsters at all sides of the house attacking and eating every one, on sight. She was hidden beneath the kitchen counter staying beneath there in till it got quiet. She then said that she smelled smoke and looked out the door of the kitchen through a crack in the door, and then she knew that they set the house on fire. So she knew the creatures where watching it burn because she saw some looking in the house from the outside. She also said that before going through the secret back door. She saw my parents being ripped to shreds and being eating. Then after saying all of this, she ended with " I'm sorry". With that I started sobbing quietly with both my hands covering my face and having some kind of argument with my own mind. "What have I done??? It's my fault their dead." " no it's not you where not there when it happened." but.....but if I didn't leave maybe-----" I was cut off guard when my husband hugged me from behind, and quietly told me " please don't cry. I know it wasn't you're fault because I know you wouldn't do thoughts thing to them. I love you so much" with thoughts words I turned around and kissed him on the cheek and said thank you.

That afternoon we had fun talking about us ( me and Kate ). When a sudden pain went through my body; and that's when I stopped mid- speech of my words and squealed in pain. Arthur looked at me with wide eyes and said if I was okay. I responded with " I think the baby is here" I half smile before another sharp pain goes throughout my body. He flinches and tries picking me up but I end up yelping a little at the lift. "I need you to be strong. I'm going to pick you up and take you to the bedroom, okay " he pauses, and I respond with an okay he did what he told me and picked me up and dashed up stairs. As we all go in side my room Arthur say to Kate that she has to do this because he has no experience with something like this. She than looked shocked at first and was starting to say something, But then she took a long deep breath and said okay"..... I'll try my best...."

It was painful, But I got through it quickly. I Saw what was going to going to be my lovely daughter. I smiled and looked at Kate with my baby, in my arms. "Its a girl" she whispers, Arthur comes in and grins widely and whispers to Kate. Something that I couldn't hear, but it didn't matter right now. The only thing that I focused on was Marith, my baby girl.

It's been about an hour since I've given birth and my body is now fine. I get little pains here and their, but I was fine. I now am inside home with my family.

" You okay, sweetheart ?" Arthur says quietly seating right next to me. "Uh..... Kind of." "why do say that?" "well.... where is Kate going to sleep?"
" really?? don't know, bu---" we where cut off with Kate running in with the baby in hand. Only to hear a loud explosion in the backyard, and hearing the baby cry loudly. " what's going on!?!?!?" yells Arthur. Kate looked wide eyed, from what had happen,before explaining everything. " I saw them !! The monsters!!!" Arthur looked at her and back to me. "I need both of you and my child to go up stairs, and quickly" " but ...." I say again before I get interrupted by a kiss. " what ever happens.... I will always love you." A tear drop fell into my hands and I look down and say "please, don't leave yet....", and with that, a golden sword appears in his hand and I say very quietly " I love you". He smiles back on me and runs out the back door.

Kate let's go... I look at her, "okay then" she says giving me Marith. We dash up the stairs to see a bat creature on the floor bleeding from the side of its head. I was going to vomit from just seeing it, and then there it was; another bomb like thing going off again. But this time it was close to the house that made Marith start to cry again, only louder. I tried calming her down but failed, where now ??? Kate says quietly." To my room" I say, we walk slowly to not wake up the monster if it was still alive. I rock my baby, to keep her quiet and she was. When we got close enough I dashed to the door with Kate right in back of me and closed the door in back of me. When all of a sudden there was a loud nock on the other side of the door; which scared me and handed the baby to Kate. I was going to say something before I heard another nock, But this time on the widow. I was surprised and happy to see Arthur at the widow, so I walked to the widow and opened it. You like the wings?? He says with his arms crossed on his chest. The wings gave off a pretty blue light. Something I haven't seen. It matched his blue eyes and with his blond hair, moving in the wind he looked like an angel. Kate came and looked amazed as I was to see him like this. Marith giggled a little looking at Arthur and I smiled at her, and I pointing at him "this is daddy" she giggled and I laugh a little. So is everything okay ??? I ask him," yeah it----- "he was cut off with the door slamming open and the bat from earlier coming in with a huge grin on his face. Get away, from them! Arthur yells "shhh ...... You'll wake the kid" he chuckles. " grrrrrr. Why can't you just leave us alone?!?!?!" Marith starts to cry slowly getting louder and louder, and all I do is think about how to get out. " get down Merlin!" Arthur yells before he swings the large scythe in both hands toward the house. With those words I drop to the floor with Kate beside me. The bat laughs and blows out a large fire ball, but instead of getting the widow he hits the wall breaking it to pieces. It set the other side where the bed was on fire, and the bat flew out the hole into the night as well where Arthur was. With a cut in the side of his arm, "let's go now!!!" I tell at Kate with ash all over us. But not on the baby, and so we run down the stair and out the back door, and Into the dark woods. I look back and think what to do " I can't leave Arthur !!"I say out of breath " we can't do anything!" Kate yells back at me. We come to a complete stop and I kiss Marith on the forehead and hand her to Kate I'll miss you both. " no!! Please " Kate pleads. I take of my locket and give it to Marith, "I'm sorry... Both of you. I'll be back, just keep going" I smile. "Fine, promise You'll be back" she tears up. "Of course" I say, and with that I run back to the house.
