"No no no no no!!! No baby please!!" I slam my weak, girly, fists against the bathroom door. "Seth don't do this!"
Then I hear the gun "No!!!" I sink to the floor, weaping bitterly.

The funeral is short. Not many people come, but those who do smile at me. Not knowing what to say. Some pat my back, some of the Christians tell me that god has a purpose of all of this. Yeah. Great plan, man in the sky.

Seth and I were middle school sweet hearts. We spent all of our time together. We told each other everything, the good, the bad, and the horrible. Our relationship was perfect, until this year; senior year. Yeah he was stressed. We both were. I just didn't know it was that bad, that he would leave me because of it.

My best friend Cat, texts me (Cat: bold Noel: italicized)
Hey. You okay?
No. Not really
Dude im really sorry. Ik he meant everything to you.
Yeah...
Want me to come over?
Yes plz.
Okie. I'll b there in 10 min.

I hear the doorbell ring. I get up off the couch and answer. Its one of two things: Cat, or the pizza I ordered.
I open it. Its Cat.
"Hey girl." She hugs me.
"Hi Cat."
"You okay?" She stares into my eyes.
"I'm fi-" I break into tears.
She hugs me and rocks me back and forth.
"I'm sorry, Noel. Its okay. Just let it all out."
The doorbell rings again. Cat gets up and pays for the pizza.
"Cat, no its okay. I can pay."
"This one is on me," She smiles. "Becides. I'll be the one eating most of it."
I fake a smile, because I know she's right. I have a small stomach.

Im awakened by a knock on my now lonely and empty apartment door.
"Who is it?" I groan and get out of bed
"Your best friend. Open the door."
"Too. Lazy."
"Noel, open the god damn door."
I get out of bed and trudge to the door.
"I'm not gonna let you stay at home all day and sit on your ass." She says, as she walks through the door. "So we're going to the mall."
"Im not going."
"Hell yeah you are!" She stares me down. Shit. She knows that always works.
After a couple minutes I give in. "...Fine, but we're going to Rue 21 first."
She laughs. "Okay."
