I knew Demi was different the moment I saw her. Not too beautiful and sexy, she made up for it with her kindness, and by being caring and adorable.
She was living with her aunt a few houses from me. I befriended her, and got to know her better. She would invite me to visit, and I would invite her out. I courted her a couple of weeks later.
I had many girlfriends before, but there was something about Demi that brought out the best (and worst) in me. I had fallen in love with her and I wanted to have her. To my suprise, she refused to be my girlfriend.I was devastated. Nobody had dumped me in years.
I tried to forget her but I couldn't. I went out with other women, but even after four girlfriends, I never loved any of them as much I loved Demi.
As the days passed, I couldn't take it anymore, I wasn't happy because I knew who i wanted to be with. i broke up with my current girlfriend and went to Demi. To prove that I was serious with her, I offered to marry her.
"Sorry Nick, but i don't love you. And even if i did, I can't marry you," she said.
