Starshine

Prologue

It was a normal day in Equestria, but little did everypony know there was chaos in the palace of the two sisters...

Starshine was walking back to the castle. She wore a black cloak to hide the fact that she was an alicorn and knew that the minute everypony knew her secret she would never have peace and quiet that she enjoyed. Everypony would line up asking her to solve all their problems. She shook her head and muttered to herself,
"That will never ever happen."
As she approached the castle she knew something was very wrong. No guards patrolling around the castle or when she was walking towards the door. Suddenly when she was at the door it became dark. Like the color of midnight . She looked up and saw the moon slowly covering the sun. She ran through the halls and burst into the throne room. She saw a mare standing on the balcony that looked like her sister Luna. When Starshine got closer she looked different. Taller, eyes that looked like a snake's and Starshine felt like the air was getting thicker. Her sister Celestia looked at her and screamed as loud as she could,
"Starshine go!"
She just stood there staring at her sister on the ground. At that moment the strange mare cackled
"Hello little sister it is I NIGHTMARE MOON!"
Starshine looked confused.
Nightmare Moon snarled and dragged Celestia behind her as they flew into the sky. Starshine followed wondering what was going on and if that was Luna but in some twisted form. Nightmare moon began firing bolts of pure magic at Celestia destroying the castle Starshine had called home. With her random firing of magic Nightmare moon had hit Celestia in the chest. She fell through the roof trying to force herself . Starshine landed beside her, crying to herself. She muttered,
"Why did Luna do this? Why would she hurt her own sister like this?"
Just then Celestia opened her eyes, got up and shouted,
"Oh dear sister, I am sorry, but you have given me no choice but to use these."
She then opened a secret door in the floor. Starshine's eyes were full of pure fear.
"Those are the Elements of Harmony"
She muttered to herself. The same ones we used to defeat Discord, they turned him to stone. What will they do to Luna? Just then the elements began to circle around Celestia. Starshine swore saw the faintest glimmer of a tear forming in her eye as Celestia rose up and defeated Nightmare Moon. She was imprisoned in the moon for who knew how long. She landed next to Starshine and trotted away.
