Wattpad is a website/app where users can can write on just about anything. Basically anyone can use Wattpad and write/read on the app. You can read/write about any genre and publish it to the website.
Wattpad was originated in 2006 by Allen Lau and Ivan Yuen. In December 2011, Wattpad won the award for "Hottest Digital Media Company". It's owned by WP Technology, Inc.
85% of Wattpad usage comes from a mobile device.It gets about 35 million unique visitors monthly. Over 100,000 stories are uploaded per day. It also has over 2 million writers.Wattpad has gotten almost $70M in funding from investors.In February 2015, Wattpad created a second app called "After Dark"that is mostly romance and for ages 17+.
You need to create an account on Wattpad and from there you are free to use the website. You could easily use this website to type up a report for another class or use it to write your own personal stories.
