Bella's POV

When Edward left me in the forest he didn't know I wasn't alone, hell I didn't even know. Klaus had been sitting in a tree watching everything that was happening, waiting to rip Edward's heart out for hurting me. But he got distracted by me falling so he didn't get Edward. When I first saw Klaus I knew he was mine and I wouldn't have to worry anymore. He showed me I could love another again and he showed me a darkness unknown. It turned out I was never Edwards mate I was Klaus's. He took me back home and stayed with me the whole time holding me.

FLASHBACK

Klaus had just told me what he was and we were now laying in my bed. The hole that had opened up in my heart earlier was now completely gone and it was because of Klaus. "Do you have to leave?" I asked him. "No," he answered. "Good I wouldn't let you," I said smiling. He laughed and kissed my lips. The kiss was going deeper until we heard a throat clear. Oh shit, Charlie. "Bella why is there a man in your bed?" he asked his face was red. "Because I let him be in my bed, dad im 18 for god sake im a legal adult and you should know you are after all police chief," I said looking him straight in the eye. He looked resigned and sighed. "Ok but what happened to Edward I thought you and him were a 'thing'?" he asked. Klaus started growling and loud, shit I had to calm him down. I put my hand on his cheek. "Klaus, look at me, you need to calm down for me," I said rubbing his cheek. He looked in my eyes with anger and sadness then he pulled me into a hug and kissed the top of my head. "That boy broke up with her then he left her in the forest, and she got lost she was just about to give up until I found her it's lucky I knew her from Phoenix," Klaus said. I knew he was lying so I had to stick to the story. "That bastard I knew he wasn't good I told you Bells, what were you doing in the woods Klaus and how do you two know each other from Phoenix?" my dad asked. "I was camping in the forest Edward had to have led her pretty far because I was deep in the forest plus her getting lost just made it worse but I heard her asking for someone to help her and I ran to where I heard her I recognized her in an instant, we were best friends in Phoenix before I moved out here I didn't even know she was here until I saw her I just thank god I found her and not some animal or creep," Klaus said. I was impressed with his lying skills. "Thank you for finding my little girl you're welcome in my home any day Klaus," my dad said smiling at him. "Thank you, sir," Klaus said. "Call me Charlie," my dad said. "Thank you dad for giving him a chance to explain before you shot him," I said laughing. "You're welcome baby girl, do you want me to order pizza, and Klaus do you want to stay over for dinner?" my dad asked. "No, I'll cook," I said. "Thanks, Charlie, and yeh I will stay for dinner."
