Inspired by another book...
Ever since I was 10, on June 15, ive made the same wish. My wish was that my best friend Melaine Perez , older brother would kiss me. Here i am on my 16th birtday making the same wish. I wish you would know how much i wanted Jacob Perez.
I dont know what it is about him.... The way he walked.....the way he looked..... Or the way his lips moved when he said my name "Makenzie"
I just dont know what it is but i wanted every piece of him. I know this sounds like a lust attraction but believe me it was way more than that.
At Makenzies party
At my "birthday party" it wasnt really party like. It was just like any other time when my dad invite the Perez family over while he grills something and we all just chill in our backyard. But at the moment everyone was singing Happy Birthday to me while i was in front of birthday cake next to the table of presents. When i blow out my candles i say in my head
'i wish Jacob would kiss me' when i open my eyes i see jacob standing next to me and just as i think my wish is going to come true cake is squashed in my face and pink and blue icing is everywhere! I laugh at myself for falling for it because he has done this every year since i was born. We chase eachother around the backyard throwing cake in eachothers faces until we are tired.
Laughing, me and jacob walk inside to clean our faces so i can open my presents. We walk by the sink and stop . He stares at me and i stare at him through my glasses. Breaking the silence he says "Happy Birthday " even though hes said it already i still appreciate it and then things start to go slower he smothed down my wild curly hair and grabs a curl and gently pulls
" kenzie do you know what it means when a boy pulls a girls hair at her birthday party?" He says with a slight smirk. He lets go and takes my glasses off and sets them on the island and bends down kisses me while pressing my mid back so that all the space between us is gone. I smile against his lips because his mouth taste like birthday cake and he does the same we pull away and were about to go back at it when i hear Mel call my name . We give eachother space and he acts as if he was helping ne get cake out if my hair. She peeks in throught the side kitchen window and says " come on birthday girl! Whats taking you so long ? "
" yea birthday girl !" Jacob says with his hands in him pockets smiling as if nothing happened
I giggle " im coming i have to change my shirt " Mel nodds and runs backs to the backyard.
"Can I come" is whispered against my neck and i smirk and say " your lucky she didnt see that !"
" Andddd you have to change your own shirt in your own room at your own-"
"Ughhh i know, i know " he says interrupting me playfully
I turned but turned back to him and he crashes his lips against mine again. He pulls away and says " This will be our little secret. See you in a few beautiful " he says letting my hand go as he walks away from me when he is out of sight i run up stairs snd freshen up and rush back down to open my presents
After all presents are opened
I wave bye to the Perez family each individually but when it comes to jacobs turn i try to avoid blushing. But he makes it hard by saying " See you tomorrow Mackenzie" winking like he did every night since i was ten and he was twelve.
I run up the stares that are outside but leads to the upstairs hallway. I go to my room say goodnight to my parents a d flop on my bed.
