Love is strange (Melizabeth Fanfic)

What does love mean?

Elizabeth's POV

"WH-WHAT?!" I asked shocked

"Kidding. I was just teasing you."He said looking in the opposite direction

I sighed quietly in relief. He did catch me off guard, though. Then I giggled a bit.

"Very funny" 

He grinned at me then left."Do you love me?" I thought to myself. I wondered if he was really joking. I decided to leave it alone though. And the fact that we just kissed. I just put on my clothes and left the bedroom.

Diane said she wanted to take me somewhere today. But I couldn't find her anywhere. I found King sleeping on his pillow like usual. I woke him up. It was very difficult.

"How can I help you, Elizabeth?" He asked yawning

"I was wondering where Diane was" I replied

"Umm.. I think she went into town."

The town is really crowded today, so I waited for Diane to return. Outside was beautiful today. Flowers in bloom, the blue sky, everything was lovely.

When my guard was down Diane scared me.

"Diane!" I screamed with my hand on my chest

"Hehe, sorry"she replied"Ready to go"

I nodded, and we started walking toward town

Meliodas's POV

I stood behind the counter sulking. Regretting what I had said to Elizabeth. Then I heard chatter from a distance, and saw King and Ban walking down the stairs.

"Oh no" King said worried."What happened?"

I didn't answer him, I just stood there with my hands on my face. They looked at each other and looked back at me.

"Nothing" I replied

"Its not everyday when we find you sulking like a baby, Captain~" Ban said

"I know" I replied.

"Then whats wrong?" King asked

"what-" I started off."What is love?"

Both of their eyes opened wide-jaws nearly touching the ground.

"Ohhhh" they said in unison

"This is about the princess"Ban claimed

"No its not" I argued

Then they looked at me with their arms crossed. I shook my head in disagreement. They gave me another stare of serious looks.

Then Gowther entered the room.

"Why does everyone look so serious?" He asked

"Captain is in love with the princess."Ban replied, smirking

"Ban!" I screamed

"Are you?"Gowther asked.

I slowly looked in the other direction. 

"You are!" King stated

I was about to say something but i realized it was pointless. I just laid my head on the counter.

"Don't worry, Captain, we won't tell anyone." Ban said

I felt a little reassured until Elizabeth, and Diane returned.

"We're Back!" Diane yelled

She and Elizabeth placed some bags on one of the tables.

"What did you buy?" Gowther asked curious

"Clothes, jewelry, etc." Diane replied."Elizabeth why don't you try it on now?"

"Now!?" She asked

Diane nodded and pushed Elizabeth upstairs so she could put on some clothes, Diane picked out for her.

"Perfect!~" Ban exclaimed

"What?" Diane asked

"We have to tell you something about Captain" King replied

"No we don't" I said fustrated

"Tell me!" Diane yelled

They all shushed her and she covered her mouth. Then King floated over to her ear and whispered something. She gasped really loud, and it lasted really long.

"Captain!" Diane said excited."Well, love is honesty and trust. mutual respect, and when you know someone's flaws and accept them for who they are. And-"

"Finished!" Elizabeth said

Then she walked downstairs.

And I couldn't believe what I saw.
