When I was born my mom was 16. I was a 8 pound 7 ounce baby. A few moments later the doctor came to her and said " Good news! Its a girl! But she has Spina Bifida." Her smile quickly faded. She had no idea how to take care of me. She told the doctor that she didn't know what to do and he said " you can give her up for adoption" but she didn't really want to do that. She didn't want to give up her first born. So she lived with some family friends while she made up her mind.
