Prologue

I'm sitting staring out my window, wondering why, it rains, were rain comes from, why? "Because of something called Clouds" my Aunt says she doesn't like the idea of the sky she says its a horrible thing. That its full of fire and demons, which doesn't make sense. But it might

But the story of our city is really weird according to the History of Tavcurt we are not supposed to leave the little dome thing that we surround but it breaks every year and they just stopped building it. So we live on a island and water surrounding it and if we leave the island to go to the water, then you can die but most people dont right there.
Nothing really bad has happened sometimes people go over the edge to the water because its so shiny and beautiful I try not to think about it. But its really pretty but I never go there. The people who go over are called,
Hases which is Tavcurt for Jumps. And they have this book club to keep there minds off of it.

But things are happening I feel that some people Want to go on to see other places maybe there's more islands. Somewhere.
There could be.
But now there's King Yolk he has a daughter about my age 16.
He rules this place if theres something fish he arrest people.
One time he, KILLED someone but that was before I was born.
But something happened a long time ago and no one talks about it but I want to know. And I'm going to find out.
