[Oswald Cobblepot] Maroni's Golden Goose

Maroni's Dinner

You sat at the table of Maroni's restaurant with your uncle, Maroni! Maroni adored you. He protected you. He loved you with all his heart. Yes..he has a heart. Despite him being a boss in the Mafia and a dangerous group, he has a caring heart. He really does. But he just makes sure how to use it. You dont like to think of your Uncle of a killer..more like a business man. Just like he used to say, "It's just business."

You and your uncle chatted and laughed. You told him all the funny things you did while you two where not seeing each other, and your uncle told funny stories of what happened to him. Even though his stories were a bit violent, you found it funny by the way he expressed it. Finally, your food came. Luckily it can fast. You know that your uncle doesn't like to be kept waiting. Especially when there are guests. The worker sat down a plate of food infront of you and Maroni. "Thanks" Maroni gave a slight smile at the man. "Thank you." You said quietly and glanced over at the man while he made his way back to the kitchen. You smiled, but then blinked suddeningly noticing a man staring at you through the large kitchen window. You glance at the man trying to examine him without him noticing. He was pretty short. He was drying some cups and plates. He also had black spikey hair to the side poking out under his white kitchen hat and outfit. You smiled, he did look a bit funny.

Right before Maroni was going to take a bite of his food he noticed you smiling. "Something on your mind?" He asked. You turned your head straight and shook your head, "No, nothing." You grabbed your fork. Maroni raised an eyebrow in suspicion and looked around behind you. He noticed the man that was staring at you and glanced at you. "...Hey, Penguin!" Maroni yelled slightly. You perked up at your uncle. The short man blinked and turned his attention to Maroni. Maroni gesture his hand to let the man, Penguin, come over. Penguin quickly set down his dried plate and straightened his funny white hat before rushing over to the table. The man stopped next to Maroni, facing him, "Yes, Maroni? Sir?" He was stiff. Maroni pointed at you "You like my granddaughter?" He asked. Penguin looked over to you and you looked back giving him a soft smile. Penguin turned his head back at Maroni. "N-No, sir." He stuttered. Maroni raised his eyes brows, waiting for a correction as he looked as if he was demanding one. "I-I mean," The man stuttered again, this time shaking a little. "She looks very nice, sir, but i dont like her in anyway..." he kept his attention to your uncle "...sir." the man finsihed. Maroni gave him a stare. You watched them. You where worried if your uncle would be planning on murdering him. Maroni is very protective. Maroni smiled slightly and proudly at the man. "Good." He leaned over and patted Penguin on the arm. Penguin flinched. "Now go back to work." Maroni kept his smile and Penguin nodded. He turned as Maroni went back to eating. "And keep your eyes to yourself, or they'll be mine!!" Maroni threatened loudly. You watched the man walk back to his kicthen from the corner of your eye. Maroni looked at you. "What?...oh dont tell me you like him!" He rolled his eyes. You flushed red, but it felt like your cheeks got hotter as you realized you've been blushing the whole time. You looked at your uncle "No!" "Good..." Maroni nodded as putting a piece of meat into his mouth and chewing "because that man is full of trouble." Maroni ate more and you nodded in understanding. You poked your food with the fork for a while before you began eating it. You listened to your uncle rant on about how the man, which you later found out his name is Oswald Cobblepot, is so wimpy, and weak, and such a trouble maker. You smiled a little at his rant though. His goal was for you to not take interest, but what he doesn't know is that that it's just making you more interested in him. More and more. But later, Maroni topped the rant off with, "...but he's my Golden Goose"
