"Why do you have to go so fucking early?!", whined Jack.
"Oh Jack don't get so stressed out! You know it's my first day, and I have always wanted to help people!", Ella exclaimed nervously, whilst cuddling her beloved 2 year old son Dennis.
"You better be back by 5, like you said then. Okay?".
Ella ignored Jack and continued cuddling and talking to her Denny.
Jack grabbed Ella by her waist, then pushed her against a staircase and put his hands round her neck, threatening to strangle her:
"You never answered my question!"
"I know, I know I am sorry. Of course I will be back by 5"
"You promise?"
"Of course I do!"
Jack let go of Ella, and Ella ran to Dennis to comfort him.
"Now you be a good boy for your da... Jack okay?" Ella whispered calmly into Dennis's ear.
Dennis's blue puppy-eyes began to water, as he didn't want to leave his beloved mother.
"I love you mummy!"
"I love you too Denny"
Dennis was handed to horrid Jack, and Ella left for work...
Ella walked slowly into the A & E department, where she was confronted by receptionist Becky.
"And where do you think your going?"
"I am Nurse Little... I-its my first day today and-"
"Why are you shaking? Nobody is going to eat you!"
"I'm sorry, I-I am not a very... Confident person"
Becky rolled her eyes and started laughing at Ella and took her, to the Consultant of the A & E, Dr Harrison.
"Dr Harrison, this is staff nurse Little" Becky explained whilst giving Ella the evils. She walked off after.
"Ahh Nurse Little, first of all put your uniform on and I will show you around the department and then you can get started"
Shortly after the tour of the department, Ella began her work with Nurse Clifton and Doctor Scott. Although it didn't go so well... Ella's nerves constantly got the better of her, as she didn't want to talk to anyone, not even her work-colleagues.
When Ella was walking past the staff office, she overheard both Clifton and Scott talking about her:
"She is a funny one, isn't she Clifton?"
"Extremely! Didn't say a word barely... Very very odd"
"She won't get along with anyone here, she is an outcast!"
Both Clifton and Scott started laughing. Ella's eyes were tearing; she began shaking again. Ella ran to the nearest toilet and wiped her eyes with a piece of tissue out of her pocket. She looked at herself in the mirror and began to pull her sleeves up. Up her arms were big bruises and cuts, where she had been beaten by Jack.
"I promised not to tell anyone about my life, and I won't..."
