It was a normal and peaceful morning. My master was in his study working, his children played outside and my aunt worked in the kitchen to make breakfast. My aunt and I were slaves to a well known farmer, and we cleaned and cooked for him, as well as took care of his children and farm on occasion.
He wasn't your typical dirty and poor farmer, he grew flowers and ivies rather than crops or animals. It was a good business; no one in the entire country grew as lovely flowers as he did. He made lots of money, and he was in love with it. He loved his money more than he had ever loved anything, he wouldn't even pay for the cure to heal his diseased wife before she died. He was a horrible and greedy man, and it was completely outrageous to my aunt and I, that the man would be having a woman's company this evening. He had told my aunt to make as lovely a bouquet of flowers as possible cause this evening he would be proposing to her. My had given me the job of fetching and arranging the flowers before high noon.
I laced up my boots, straightened my brown dress, and pinned my long brown hair into a bun at the back of my head. Before going out into the fields to pick the flowers, I walked into the kitchen and kissed my aunt on the cheek as she made breakfast.
"Need any help, auntie?"
"No, but thank you Kayla dearest. You should go and fetch those flowers soon though so that you should have time to help me with supper." I nodded at my aunts words and picked up a small wicker basket, and headed down to the fields.
I hummed to myself as I walked and thought about how exactly a wretched man such as my master, could manage to persuade a woman into dinner at his house. Unless he threatened her, which wouldn't be a huge surprise to me. I finally made it to the fields, and looked over the list of everything I needed: 6 pink roses, 4 white and pink lilies, and 10 white roses.
~Time Skip~
I was finished picking the flowers, and on my way back to the house, when I began to feel the temperature dropping at an excessive rate. I shivered as a single breeze gave me chills...and then the breeze was gone.
I began to walk faster towards the house, when I also noticed the sky clouding up and getting much darker. I had never heard of either of these things happening before and I was beginning to panic so I started to run towards the house. When I felt it.
I could feel it like ice water soaking down my back. It was coming front the woods and I began to cry in terror. I could feel the way my body was being looked over and I began to sob loudly. What could be happening? Am I going to die? What could I have possibly done to be wanted by such an evil? I kept running and running and running, and all at once, I couldn't. My entire body was frozen in place, much like the statues that adorned the gardens of the farmland. I stood completely and helplessly locked in place, yet the tears continued to roll down my cheeks. I tried to control my tears, but more and more fell as time went on. I was going to die. I was for sure if it. Especially when I felt the cold, bone chilling hands begin to feel across my entire body, including places I never thought would be touched by another. Soft caressing and slow, slow touching was all that was done, and I felt violated that someone could do such things, yet excited because I had never been pursued in this manner. What are these feelings? What is going on? The tears began to flow faster than ever, and I began to hyperventilate due to my large fear of the inability to move. The last thing I remember, is a tender and smooth kiss to the temple.....just before everything went black.
