After we had left the house, an awkward silence took over the car. I was surprised that even the bubbly Ariel didn't make conversation. Everyone seemed enveloped in their own thoughts, or so it seemed. Nathan, who sat just beside me in the back seat, glanced over at me. I turned to look at him, smiling. He passed me a nervous smile before casting his eyes back out the window.

Every now and then he would steal a glance over to look at me, and I started to get confused. 'What could make him so.. nervous?' My hand slid down to the middle seat, as I just stared out the window, thinking of my wolf, and how I could run forever.. Just as I was about to yawn, I felt a warm hand cover mine. I half-jumped in my seat to see Nathan looking at me. With his hand. Holding mine.

My heartbeat stopped for a good 2 seconds, then started beating erratically. I widened my eyes, and opened my mouth, but couldn't find any words to express the surprise.. and happiness that I felt.

Before I could say anything, he started leaning closer, until he was just one inch away from my face. 'Is he going to kiss me?' Nathan stopped leaning in when he saw the look on my face, and then he started to shake his head.

My heart spiraled downwards, and before I could stop myself, I was kissing him. The shock on his face was evident, but then was replaced by pure joy. I pulled away before the girls could notice, though I was pretty sure I saw Ariel smirking. Nathan smiled at me, and took my hand in his once more. We sat at the opposite sides, as to not draw attention, but our hands were still linked together.

I sighed a content sigh, and continued to day-dream about my wolf and Nathan.

Before long, we arrived at the First Presbyterian Church, where the concert was being held for free. I hopped out of the Jeep, excited at both seeing my older sister and holding Nathan's surprisingly large hand, as well as kissing him. Ariel walked ahead, with Sarah at her side. I was so busy focusing on the building when I felt Nathan's hand take mine. I smiled, and walked towards the church.

When we entered, I gaped at the humongous space inside. There was a large organ that hung off the walls at the back of the room, and to my surprise, not many people were there. I spotted Renee at the front, practicing her violin, and was about to sprint up to hug her when I realized that no one was allowed to speak to them before the concert started.

Ariel and Sarah were already seated at a spot to the far left, so me and Nathan walked hand-in-hand over to them. As Ariel looked around to search for us, her eyes almost popped out of her sockets, again, at the sight of Nathan and I. I winked at her, sending her into a hysterical type state, and sat down beside Nathan.

As everyone quieted down, I smelled the same scent that I had last night. It held my attention until a tall, handsome man walked onto the stage, whom I recognized was Renee's husband, Zack. "Thank you for coming, everyone. I will now introduce you to.." His voice faded as I smelled the scent again, this time even stronger. I dared to look to my right, but frowned when I found no source of where or whom it could be coming from.

Shaking my head, I looked up to see Renee bowing, and started clapping my hands with the rest of the crowd. I was so proud of her. She glanced my way, and I smiled at her, to which she grinned back. Once the lights started to fade, Renee took her bow and started playing beautiful music. I barely made out three different figures behind her, one a cellist, and the other two violinists.

I closed my eyes for a few seconds, and the intoxicatingly unbearable smell reached my nose again. I searched to my right again, and this time, my eyes found the same figure, sitting at the end of one of the pews.
