I walked along the coast, humming to myself. I had always felt a connection with the sea. It made me feel safe.

I had been walking for a few hours now, and I was so far away. I was getting close to the rocks, and I knew I need to go back. But I was tired. I didn't feel like walking all the way back.

Swimming...? I banished the idea from my mind immediately. Who knew what was in that water? I looked over at the rocks. Hm...

I climbed on on top of one and sat. After awhile I got restless and decided to climb up higher. I pulled myself along with my hands, using my feet to push me up. I was about three quarters of the way to the top, when I fell. I fell straight down a hole, and onto soft sand.

I was shocked. I stared up at the hole from where I had fallen. Strangely, I wasn't hurt. Looking around, I noticed a few things.

One, I was in a cave of some sort, and the only way out was the hole, and it was about 30 feet up.

Two, I was lying on a beach... only it wasn't the same beach as outside. The sand was soft, and the water lapped up on the shore in gentle waves.

Three, the walls were smooth, in a circular shape.

Four, I liked it here. It was peaceful.

Suddenly, I heard a rustle from outside. A ladder dropped down into the hole. I was confused. Was it for me? Had someone seen me fall in here and had come to rescue me? All my questions were answered when a boy started climbing down the ladder.

"H-hello?" I asked timidly. I wasn't used to being around people.

He turned around and smiled at me.

"Hello, Niniana (A/N:It's pronounced, nih-knee-ah-nah, if you're wondering)."

"How do you know my name?"

"I've been watching you, for quite some time now. I love you." I was shocked at his words. Who was this mystery boy? And how did he love me?

And I had to wonder... what did he think of me?

"I think you're beautiful, and sweet. I think you're nice, and I think that you have a lot of talent." I blushed. Did he really think that about me?

"Yes, I do." He said. I stared at him. Did I say that out loud or....

"No, I read your mind. Not really read, actually, more like listening. You're a very good broadcaster," He complimented. I had no idea what he meant.

A horrible thought struck me. I had no idea who he was. He could be a murderer, a rapist (shout out to Luluboo), a kidnapper, something awful! I spied the ladder.... maybe I could  escape...

"You can go if you want you. I'm not going to stop you. I won't hurt you if you stay though." He shrugged. I bolted off the floor and to the ladder. I scaled it as quickly as I could, but paused at the top. I looked back at the boy. He seemed so sad, so lonely. I hesitated.

Sighing, I climbed the rest of the way up, then trekked back home. I hoped I did the right thing.
