As soon as the school day had finished, Louis rushed home to his house. He was buzzing with excitement and couldn't wait to tell the boys that, after more than a year of pining, he had finally gotten a date with Eleanor. He texted the boys to meet him at his apartment and they all quickly replied with 'sure's' and 'be there soons'. Louis went into his small kitchen and made himself some Yorkshire Tea.

Louis's kitchen was bright and homey. It had simple, cream coloured walls that matched the white tiles. His benches were a light white colour, with the cupboards being a dark brown timber and he had spotlights on the roof that eliminated the place at night. His fridge, oven and freezer all stood next to each other, lining the right side of the room. But Louis favourite part of the kitchen was the huge window that overshadowed the sinks.

Soon enough, Louis heard the assorted footsteps entering his home, alerting him to the lad's arrivals. They had a habit of just walking into his house at night, whether it was Harry stumbling in after a night out, Niall looking for food, Zayn needing a place to crash or Liam coming to tell him to get up so he wasn't late for class, they never knocked.

The boys greeted Louis in the usual way and they all went to the lounge room. They sat down on the cheap couches and started playing a competitive game of Fifa.

"So guess what?" Louis said as his player on the screen scored a goal.

"What?" Niall replied.

"I finally got a date with Eleanor." To Louis' surprise, the boys all let out a loud scoff.

"So you're telling me," Zayn asked, "that after every day of you walking into that classroom, trying to convince yourself to ask her out, but never actually doing it, you finally did?"

"Yes!" Louis exclaimed. "I did! And she even said yes AND suggested that we go to Starbucks because she likes their coffee."

Harry rolled his eyes at Louis. "Whatever you say mate."

"But I did!" Louis couldn't get this through his head. Aren't the boys supposed to be happy for him?

"Look, I even got her number." Louis grabbed his iPhone from his pocket and opened it up to Eleanor's contact. He threw the phone over to Harry, whose eyes immediately widened.

"This isn't really hers is it?" The boys paused the game and came over to look at the phone.

"Yes, it is." Louis sighed happily. Harry grabbed out his own phone and started typing in Eleanors number.

"Hey! What are you doing?!" harry shushed him and held the phone to his ear.

"Hello?" He said. "So this is who speaking?.................Oh so it is you Eleanor!..............I had my doubts that it was actually you!................Oh I'm Harry styles. I'm in your Law class................. Why I called? Um... No reason.............. Ok, bye then." Harry hung up the phone and slipped it into the back pocket of his jeans. "Huh. Didn't actually think that was Eleanor. That's kind of embarrassing."

Louis let out a frustrated groan. "How do you think I feel?"

Louis walked up the steps to Eleanor's house, holding two decaf coffees from Starbucks. Her house was big and white, blending into the snow that was falling behind it. His breathe was visible as he knocked on the door. A tiny little girl with brown ringlets opened the door. Her brown eyes widened as she saw Louis and her little body trembled from the cold wind blowing inside.

"Hello." She said timidly. Louis crouched down so he was at the same height as her.

"Hey sweetie, I'm Louis. What's your name?" He smiled at her adorableness as she fiddled with the hem of the pink dress she was wearing.
