The shadows closed in on the dark room that a young soul was hiding in. The large estate overwhelmed the child at night,with all of the dark rooms that were only lit up by the moonlight's reflection.
8 years in that mansion, and the girl was still scared of the monsters that may or may not lurking the closets and halls.
A loud bang burst through he sky, and a big flash brought a light into the big ballroom. Th young cowardly one got up and rushed to her room. Her mom and dad still weren't home, and it was almost midnight, way past the time most little girls should be asleep.
But still, she snuck around the room looking for a secure hiding spot to call her parents, and make sure they were okay
Finally, in the crawl space behind her bed, she got out her cell phone and dialed her father's cell. A loud piercing cry made her jump. Her dad picked up his phone. "Daddy, when will you be home? I think someone just took baby Oliva!" A long silence broke out between he father and his daughter, and soon enough,he hung up. The girl rushed down the hall to her sister's room, and saw nothing.
A crash came from downstairs. She slowly tiotoed down the long, and narrow twisted path way to the foyer off the living area. A lingering cry went off, scaring the girl half to death. About a minute later, she snuck to the kitchen. She looked all around the room, then glanced to the dining room. Suddenly, a feeling of horror rushed into the girl's heart. There, in the entry to the dining hall, stood a big, shady looking man in a cloak black as midnight. He looked ghostly, she couldn't even make out his face. The guy walked forward and stopped. The girl watched in awe and terror as he slowly smiled a dark, sharp smile. She screamed as he put an arm around her and said, "so you found my true form next to the secret ebony room," and disappeared. After, her mother rushed in to the room. "Did your dad come in here?" I shook my head no. "I'm right here." The girl turned and jumped. He dad appeared strangely right near where the ghost disappeared. The mom smiled and motioned for her family to go upstairs to sleep. She realised her sister Oliva was in her dad's hand. "Shall we go to bed,my little Ebony Rose?"
