*BEEP!BEEP!BEEP!BEEP!* You open your eyes and throw yourself off your pillow! What is that sound? You look to your side to see a green floating crystal at the back window, making the alarming... Alarm. This floating crystal is actually your best friend NaV. She is always freaking out about everything minor, always setting off that alarm. You have no idea how he could survive without you around. You get out of your bed to reassure NaV and look out the window.
"NaV, I'm sure it's fine, probably just a squi-" You realize you were wrong.
"Y/N, it's the Zerø Legion! They've invades Toko!"
You quickly rush to close the blinds. This is really bad, you think. Why today? Today was your birthday, 10/10/101010. You pack some stuff into a bag and deactivate NaV, putting her in your bag. You feel bad, turning off his life source, but its what you must do. You walk to the door. As soon as the door scans you, it opens up and you walk outside stealthily. You look over to see a house with a broken door. You release a groan as you sneak inside and help an injured woman off the floor.
"Who are you?" She looks at you with an odd expression, not sure of how well to trust you. "I'm Y/N" you mumble your name. She looks at your ears in confusion. "Excuse me, Y/N? What's with your large ears?" You roll your red eyes and answer "Miss, I'm not human. I'm one of the last of the Cait species. That's why I have these ears, and this tail." Your cat-like tail shows from behind your comfortable formal outfit. You tend to the woman's injuries with an old spell you knew as long as you can remember. The woman watches in amazement.
"What was that?" She asks, her eyes sparkling in enthusiasm. "Oh, right. You don't know about magic, because humans can't use it. Caits have a high affinity to magic, where as humans have none." You're surprised at your knowledge on the subject. "Hey, what's your name?" The woman is surprised at your question. "I'm Natalie. Nice to meet you, Y/N" she stands up. "Let's get out of here, its not safe." She suggests. You stand up and reply. "Good idea, Natalie. Let's go, we can talk on the way." You both leave Toko, looking at your house burning down in the Zerø Legion's raid. There's no going back now.
