A.N.: This was a little dare by my friend Heartie to write a story in a day...phew! I'm pretty happy with it!
I screamed as fireballs started raining down from the sky, illuminating the night with their fire. I wanted to run, but I couldn't, my leg was trapped under the rubble. I was so tired... All my magic had been sucked out by Serion with the blood stone. He stood over me, holding the stone proudly over his head. "Finally!! After all these years!! I have the magic of the fairy of emotion! With it, I will rule the world! Too bad I have to kill such a pretty girl like you." I snarled at his comment. I watched as an arrow flew through the air, burrowing deep into his heart. His eyes burned with anger and shock, before collapsing to the ground, the stone rolling away. Serion was dead.
"Glacecia!" I turned weakly to face that familiar voice, and saw Ketil half running, half stumbling over the dead bodies and rubble despite his wounds. I mustered up enough energy to smile as he finally reached me, trying desperately to push away the rocks. "Ketil... Stop... It's no use... You can't push them away..." I whispered, my heart aching at the blood gushing out from his stomach. "No no no... I will free you!" He clawed even harder at the rocks, until I gripped his arm. "Please... Just stop... You can't help me... Without my magic, I'm useless." Tears threatened to fall, but I had to be strong. For him. "Glacecia..."
A fireball in between us stopped him mid sentence, the force throwing him away from me. "KETIL!!" With the rubble over my leg blasted to pieces, I ignored the pain and crawled to him, ashes and blood covering him. I could not control my tears as I gently cradled his head in my arms. "Ketil... Don't do this! Talk to me!!" I sobbed, my tears washing away the blood and dirt on his face. "I'm sorry Glacecia... I couldn't protect you..." He said with a sigh and smiled sadly. I wanted to rip that smile of his face, how could he be smiling at a time like this? "No... Don't say that Ketil... You have done more than protect me... You'll be fine, don't worry..." I touched his face gently, though in my heart I knew he wouldn't survive. "Don't deny it Glacecia! I'm going to die and you know- mmphf!" I pressed my lips hard against his, to shut him up. I felt him relax in my arms and soon he kissed me back too. Our need for air got the better of us and Ketil pushed me away reluctantly. "I love you so much, my little fairy princess..." He breathed, and I was lost in his gorgeous blue eyes. Leaning up, he kissed me gently one last time, before lying limp in my arms. " oh no no no... Don't do this to me! KETIL!" I shook him hard, willing him to open his eyes.
This couldn't be happening... I had to save him... My eyes landed on the blood stone, my orange magic swirling inside the scarlet jewel. I grabbed it and it started glowing brightly, the light engulfing us both. I felt the warm magic running through my spirit, the orange streaks rushing to bind with my own silver energy. Raw power coursed through me, and I never felt so alive. Looking down, I saw a faint red line connecting my heart to Ketil's. "Our bond...it's still there..." I whispered to myself. Channelling all my power to that tiny red thread, I concentrated on it as hard as I could. Silvery energy crossed the thread, filling Ketil's body. The light faded away, the harsh vision of the battle field appearing once more.
"You are so powerful... I like that" I gasped and looked down at him in astonishment. "You're... You're alive!!" I choked, burrowing my face into his chest. "I though you were dead... I was so scared and you stopped breathing and..." I stopped when he gripped my face. "You didn't lose faith in us, just like how I'll never lose faith in you." He smiled and brought my lips to his, winding his arms around my waist. I could taste the saltiness of my tears in the sweetness of Ketil's lips, my own curling into a smile.
