Bliss

Chapter 1

          The first day of junior year was fast approaching and while everyone else was fretting about what they were going to wear or what to do with their hair, I was cuddled up with my new book. It had taken me all summer to get through the first half of the book and I was determined to finish before the clock strikes midnight.
"Logan, are you ready to go to the mall?" I heard my sister yell from the lower level of the house.
"I already told you I'm not going." I yelled back as I flipped the page to start chapter 48.
"Mom said I cant go without you so get your clothes on and get your ass to the car," She yelled, coming up the stairs.
"Fuck off, Katie." I mumble to myself as she stumbles into my room.
"Shit, Log, its a pig stye in here." she says kicking a pile of clothes out of her way.
"Hey, those were clean!" I yell at her as I scramble to pick them up before they mix with the dirty clothes.
"Yeah whatever, now get dressed." She says as I dump my clothes onto my bed.
"Bitch" I say under my breath as I try to decide on what to wear. I settle on my old Spider-Man t-shirt and my black skinny jeans. I try to fishtail my unruly hair, but eventually I give up and leave it down.
"Get out so I can change" I say to my sister as I practically push her out the door.

        "You are literally the worst fucking driver" I say to my sister as she cuts off yet another driver on the interstate.
"Says the girl who can't even pass her drivers test" She laughs as she turns up the radio to drown out my voice. I put in my earbuds and text my best friends, Smith and Mia, to meet me at the mall so that I wouldn't be completely miserable all day. Smith texts back within a matter of seconds as usual. >Sorry babe, up at grandma's today. See you tomorrow. :*<  I roll my eyes as I text him back >And you wonder why people think we're dating<  Thankfully, Mia says she'll be there. As we pull into the mall, Katie turns down the music. "I'm sorry for being mean." she says to me as she parks the car. "Yeah whatever Katie." I say, opening the passenger door to get out of the car.

      "Thank god" I say to myself after seeing Mia's signature blonde locks. "Mi, over here" I call to her from the bench I was sitting at. "Why haven't you been answering your phone?" she questions me as she sits down aside me on the bench and slaps the back of my head.
"Well, MOM, it died like 20 minutes ago." I say, rubbing my head and grabbing my bag to get up.
"Good job, L." She says to me. We interlock fingers and head to the food court, as usual.
"Oh my god, was that your sister with Trevor Braund?" She basically yells in my ear as she does a double take to make sure that she wasn't seeing things.
"Yeah he's the flavor of the week. Didn't you know?" I ask. "Obviously not!" She yells looking back at them one more time.
"But anyway-" she starts to say, but is cut off when some dickhead plows right into us, knocking me to the ground.
"The fuck, dude?" Mia asks the blonde haired boy.
"I'm so sorry, I wasn't watching where I was going," the stranger says, his accent throwing me off because I couldn't quite pinpoint where he was from. He smiled a crooked smile as he helps me off the ground.
"Its cool, don't worry about it." I say brushing the dust off of my bottom.
"I'm Niall, I just moved here. " He says, taking off his expensive looking sunglasses.
"I'm Logan, and this is Mia" I say gesturing to her, but she seemed to find her phone more interesting.  I nudge her shoulder and her eyes almost pop out of her head as she makes eye contact with Niall. his eyes are filled with worry as he sprints off saying he'll see us around.
"What a weird little foreign dude" I say as I grab Mia's arm to head toward the foor court again.
"Holy shit, Logan. That was Niall fucking Horan!"
