Kaii's POV
"3...2...1...FIGHT!"The trainer yelled. I watch two of my classmates nod their heads and begin their match. Almost immediately, the little girl squatted down and swept kicked her opponent. The other fell to the ground and attempted to stand back up. But before she could, the other girl got on top of her and began to brutally punch her in the face. Everyone watching flinched as if they were the ones getting hit. After about the 5th punch, the trainer finally peeled the little girl off of the other one. He then dragged the other girl off of the mat and put her on the side next to the lockers. We all sat in silence.
We have a motto in this dojo.
Fight to win. Fight to live...
We all have to fight as if this were real life. We basically have to fight until one of us can barely move. I guess that means fight to the death...something like that. Anyway, the girl who won was small for her age, yet extremely strong, very skinny, with bright red long hair. Everyone calls her Little Red. She is believed to be the best fighter in this dojo...maybe even in the world. Everybody's scared of her. No one wants to go against her on the mats....
"Kai. It's your turn." Everyone turned and faced me. I looked around at all the sympathetic faces. I nodded, giving them a reassuring smile. Even though I'm the youngest (6 years old) and the smallest one here, I believe that I'm actually the best fighter. I have the skills and strategy to win just about any fight. I've studied Little Red's moves long enough. She has a pattern to the way she fights. She sweeps their feet from beneath her opponent, the instantly rushes them so they don't have time to block or even counter. I slowly walk to the center of the mat. Little Red was already standing there with a big, cocky smile on her face.
"Alright, you two know what the deal is." The trainer, Mr. Deeds said. I nodded and got into my fighting stance. I put my left fist down at my side and my other fist in front of my face. I looked at her. She smirked while getting in her fighting stance (which was very ugly btw) She got into a slight squat and crossed both of her hands in front of her face. We stood there and waited until we got the signal to start. Mr. Deeds looked at both of us, asking if we were ready.
"Of Course." Little Red said. I let out a quiet laugh. She doesn't know what she's getting into.
"FIGHT!" He yelled. As usual, Little Red attempted her sweeping kicked, which I blocked with ease. As she squatted down, I backed out of the way and round-house kicked her in her side. She fell to the ground. Surprisingly, she got up quicker than I thought she would. She then attacked me with various jabs, and punch combinations, which I also blocked with ease. On her last punch, I grabbed her arm and twisted her wrist. She let out a small scream from the pain. I then turned around, still holding her wrist, and threw her over me. As she fell, I got on top of her and put her in a choke hold. I could hear her struggling to breathe; she also kept trying to escape from the lock. I could also hear everyone gasping in awe. They've never seen anyone win against Little Red. Especially someone like me... Someone small and scrawny.
"Okay that's enough, Kaii." I heard Mr. Deeds say. I let go of her. She gasped for air, holding her throat. I smiled.
"I guess you weren't ready." I laughed. As I walked away I heard her mumble something under her breath. I paid her no mind. I Went to go sit back down. Everyone was smiling at me, giving me a thumbs up, I even got a few high fives and hugs. Everyone but Mr. Deeds was smiling. He motioned for me to walk over to him. I walked over to him.
"Follow me to my office." I nodded and I did as told. Once we got into his office, he closed and locked the door behind him. I stood in front of his desk, crossing my arms. He walked to his desk and sat down.
