They sailed across the ocean
through the darkness and the storms
to find what they were looking for;
a key of some sort
to unlock the box
which held what they truly sought
to reach their goal of achieving
an everlasting life.
They were faced with challenges
all along their route
they loved, they betrayed, they fought,
without a second look.
Although they tried their hardest
they did not understand the rules
for in order to get what was in the box
they would have to sacrifice
ninety-nine innocent souls.
They were pirates sailing across the sea
the world was their own
but because of their greed
they all must pay the price of Jones.
He strives to get what is in that box
but he doesn't truly understand
that what the box does hold
can never truly compare to
what he's sacrificed to obtain it.
His final goal is a heart
one that loved and lost
but certainly not his own
for he lost that many years ago.
Far beneath the oceans surface
lies a man sad and broken
the heart belongs to him
and he is the only one who
truly understands the cost
of Davy Jones locker.
For it is his own, his own prison,
his own home.
He is the broker of this shattered world
making deals and then collecting the cost
See the captain's time is up
and even with the contents of the box
he will never forget.
He runs and runs to try and evade the Kraken's mighty grip
but he will never be able to escape
as long as he only cares for himself.
His debt will never truly be paid
until he sacrifices himself for another.
That is all Davy Jones wants of him
is for him to find his heart
because even though Jones has loved and lost
he will never forget
the best moments of his living life.
For they are pirates
traveling across the seven oceans
unsure of what they will see
but until they learn the lesson of Davy Jones,
the threat will remain
and they will never be safe at sea
as long as the Kraken is after them
and they are after they key.
