The End all started with one virus. The virus killed instantly, and was easily spread. Humans who worked on farms got it first. That year, there was no harvest. That's when the famine began.
The weakest got the virus, most people were already weak from the famine, which killed out most.
Then came the war that killed everyone else. The war was over the lack of food, and who gets the last of the rations.
Earth was left with 100 lucky people who weren't effected by the virus nor the war. These people decided that our society needed order, so this never happened again. They became the Great 100.
The refugees created a timer that would help people get a handle on life. One for everything that you could ever need one for, such as sicknesses and sleep. They watched the city over the years, watching how the timers would help the city, making sure that none of this would ever happen again. They had created the City of Time.
