"Ramon, why did you drag me to this party?" I asked taking in my surrounding.

Sweaty hormonal bodies smashed against the wall as their lips devoured one another, Wasted teenagers on what seemed like the dance floor sticking to one another like siamese twins. The music was ridiculously loud, so loud that it could wake a whole entire nation about the issues that truly matters.

"Remember last time I drove home after Douglas's birthday party?" Ramon asked as he squeezed my shoulder with his strong hands.

"Yes, you were so drunk that you crashed into Mr. O'Reilly's garden. Not only did you destroy his flower bed but you also killed his cat." I deadpan and shrugged him off of me.

Ramon gave me a somewhat thoughtful look before scratching the back of his head. "Was it that bad?"

"You killed his fucking cat."

"Oh. Well that's exactly where you come in. I want you to be my designated driver."

"I don't even have my driver license yet." I below as I gulped down a glass of sprite mixed with lemon.

"By the time we leave this party it'll be around one or two in the morning so we don't have to worry about the cops pulling us over. Fasten your seatbelt, drive at speed limit, don't honk at old ladies with their walkers being extremely slow as they crossed the road because they will actually flip you off."

"And what am I supposed to do while you run off to drink and have sex with some random girls?" I asked.

I barely knew anyone at this party. I knew the guy who was having the party was Dean Sevenson, the captain of our varsity football team so you would expect to see about the whole football and cheer team.

Ramon gave me an offended look. "What makes you think I want to have sex?"

I rolled my eyes. "Seriously? I saw you putting a grape flavored condom in your wallet before we left." I shuddered. "I can't believe they even make those."

"Anyhow, I think I saw Malik and Oscar. Don't drink anything alcoholic, no sexual encounters, stay somewhere crowded, don't take a drink from anyone if offered." Ramon had put on his protective brother face which until now made me so proud of this idiot being my big brother. "Stay away from boys."

I chuckled. No boys, no problem.

I checked my watch. 11: 12 pm on a school night but the party wasn't showing any sign of decease if anything, it was just getting started. I cursed myself mentally over and over again for allowing Ramon to drag me here. I had two essays for English left unstarted on my desk and an unfinished Biology project.

Sitting in Dean Sevenson's basement surrounded by rather familiar faces from school to whom I've never even borrowed a piece of paper from or a pencil, watching Grey's Anatomy was not how I had planned my Sunday night.

My attention is drawn away from the tv towards a giggling couple on a beanbag that I hadn't I notice until now. The only source of light was from the 64 inch screen so I couldn't exactly make out the faces.

Long dark hair tangled against each other was enough to tell me that the couple on the beanbag were two girls. A smile crept to my face as I watch the couple engage in a make out session. It wasn't sloppy nor drunkenly. I could feel the love and compassion. This was the first time I had ever witnessed a lesbian couple so out and proud.
