the 100th Hunger Games

I watch the small television in the corner of the living room inside my small house that I share with my mother, father,boyfriend and little sister Maggie. Maggie is 12 and I am 17. My boy friend is 17 like me his name is Joshua. I am actually 36 weeks pregnant with his baby. I call Joshua, Maggie, mom and dad into the room to watch with me. "Just a second Madeline." my mom called back to me. by this time Joshua, my father, and Maggie had joined me. only seconds later my mom hurried in to the roomand sat down next to my father. Josh and I share a seat each of have one hand on my stomache. Josh has lived with us ever since his parents were executed publicly in front of the district. it was a really hard time for him, and i don't think he is quite over it. it happened just over 6 months ago. So I watch the television as a small boy about Maggie's age walks on to the stage carrying a small box that holds the different quells. he handed the box to our president Samantha Snow she has been our president of panem since our previous president died 4 years ago. Samantha is his daughter she is in her 40's but looks like she is 25 because of all the surgeries that she has had to make her look younger. I think the small boy is her son because he resembles her. she takes the box from him and takes the envolope that says "100" on it. she carefully opens the envolope and reads "for this Quarter Quell to honor that everyone had to sacrifice. for this years games we will be expanding the age limit of the games to 3 to 18 years of age. Also this years games will have double the tributes. And finally the games will last for 3 years. when ever there are 3 tributes left we will add 48 more into the mix. How ever there can be 3 victors in these games..." then the television flipped off. my family went to bed in order to get ready for the reaping of district 12 which is where we live. but when I climbed into the bed with Josh I could not fall asleep. All night I was tossing and turning. By morning I had finally fallen asleep. When I woke up

it was about 10 oclock which ment I had a little over 2 hours to get ready since the reaping was at 12:15. So i woke up Maggie and went to get dressed in the same thing that i always wear to a reaping my moms old reaping outfit. Which was a white blouse and a tan floral patterned skirt. I also had some flats that used to be my aunt's. my mother is the latest district 12 victor Katniss Everdeen or more recently Katniss Mellark. so my mother is Primrose Hawthorn. my mother married my aunts life long friend Gale Hawthorne. Now I have 2 cousins on my moms side. the older one is 17 like me Cinna he was named after Katniss' stylist from her games who had acted like a father figure to her. The younger is 14 her name is Autumn. she is soo sweet and looks a lot like what my mom looked like when she was her age. As we walked together we got to the sign in and i reluctantly left my family and my boyfriend. I walked to the area that was for my age and gender. then effie trinket came on to the stage and we watched the video and then she walked over to the girls bowl and pulls out a small slip of paper...
