"RYLIE! COME DOWNSTAIRS FOR LUNCH!" My mom yelled up to me in my room. "COMING!" I yelled back down at her, I closed the book I was reading and teleported down to the kitchen. "AHH! Stop doing that! You gave me quite a scare. Ya know you couldda juts walked down the stairs." She had asked me as she fed my baby sister, Gracie, the disgusting baby food out of the clear plastic containers. "I'm sorry for scarin' ya, but ya know, but its more fun to do it my way." I replied, I winked at her and she just rolled her eyes, classic Mom. I sat down at the kitchen table, starting to eat the scrambled eggs on my plate. I realized that Mom was already dressed and ready, she looked like she was going somewhere soon. "Mom, where are you going this morning?" I had asked her. She kept spooning baby food into Gracie's mouth and didn't give me eye contact. "I'm gonna go get groceries and go Christmas shoppin' for a bit." "Oh...when will you be back?" "I don't know Rylie. Probably mid afternoon at the latest. Now don't you be worryin' 'bout me....eat up." I ate faster and then went and put my plate in the sink. Then I teleported up to my room and changed out of my pajamas and slipped on a purple sundress that has designs of yellow flowers on it. I went to my bathroom and brushed my straight light brown/dirty blond hair then brushed my perfectly straight teeth. Then I teleported to downstairs onto the couch and snatched the remote from the coffee table and switched to a channel where it played an episode of my favorite T.V. show. I was really bored and hopefully my only friend and neighbor, Molly, would come over. Since my parents never let me go anywhere besides Molly's house, The Doctor's office, the Dentist's office, church, and once a year, mom would let me go to the city egg hunt for Easter, it was hard to make any friends. Molly knew I could teleport, she's been my friend since we were both born, and she was my only neighbor. I lived kind of out in the countryside and Molly lived right next to me so whenever we'd hang out together we would go play in the fields or in the woods or in our backyards. In her backyard, she had a small playground and a trampoline, the only thing I had was 2 swings on the giant oak tree I had in our backyard. Molly and I would always climb it, but since it was December, it was too cold to play outside and we are expecting snow in a few days before Christmas. It was December 22nd, and Christmas was only 3 days away! Our Christmas tree was 8ft tall and decorated like it was in a movie. Perfect. Anyway, after an hour of watching T.V., my mom decided to ask me if I wanted to go over to Molly's. I nodded and slipped on my boots, then I teleported from the back door, to Molly's porch. I rang the door bell and there stood Molly. She was wearing pink and white polka dot pajama pants, and a white T-shirt, her dirty blonde hair was curly and hung halfway down her back, how I loved her hair. I had always wished that my hair was curly and long, like Molly's. "Hi Molly! Are you busy?" "No, not really. Wanna come in?" "Sure okay thanks." I replied, stepping into Molly's house, it smelled like fresh baked Christmas cookies. "My mom and I just finished baking cookies, want one?" She asked, holding out a plate of cookies shaped like different Christmas/Winter figures. "Sure, thanks!" I gently took a sugar cookies in the shape of a snowman. The sugary sensation of the soft fresh baked sugar cookie in my mouth tasted awesome. The taste and smell of the sugar cookies reminded me of when Molly and I made them for the first time when we were seven without her Mom's help, it was a messy disaster but we managed to make at least one batch of cookies without having something wrong with them. "These are fantastic Molly!" "Thanks." Her little twin brother and sister walked in. "Hwello Wylie." Addison said, Aiden following behind her, "Hi Wylie." Aiden said, they were adorable. "Wait how old are they again? Three?" I had asked Molly. "They turned four a few weeks ago." "Oh yeah! Where's Chase?" I questioned Molly, Chase was her brother who's nine. "I think he's upstairs playing video games. "Oh." "Yeah, so what do you want to do?" "I dunno, maybe we could draw pictures?" "Sure, why not." She replied as we walked up to her room and grabbed some paper and colored pencils then sat down at the table in her room. "What are you gonna draw?" I asked her, I was going to draw a puppy. I started to outline the head of the puppy. "I am going to draw a Christmas tree. What about you?" "A puppy." "Cool." After we drew random stuff for an hour, my mom expected me home. So I grabbed my drawings and headed out the door as Molly and her siblings all said bye to me. I waved back at them and ran home.
