It broke my heart knowing that he would never want me. That all I would ever be was his "close friend" and that my fantasies would never come true. I wish he understood how much I felt for him. How his very being infested my dreams. How he was like a parasite in my weakened mind ; stuck there, with no possibility of removal. I was always a wimp. Maybe just maybe if I had told him how I feel, he would've - could've loved me back.
Then she came along. She robbed him of any chances of loving me. Sticking to him like a damned leech. Sucking all the life out of him.

"Please, Rem?" I pouted at my friend of 10 years. "Just one night. I promise!"
Remus sighed, eyeing me with his honey brown eyes. "I can't. I promised Dora I would spend the night with her. I broke that promise last time, remember?" Remus and I were sitting on his bed, discussing whether we would go to the quidditch game or not. Of course, I wanted to go. But Remus on the other hand, was too concerned for his poor little Dora spending the week before their wedding alone.
"But, we barely spend any time together!" I batted my long eyelashes and sent him a cheeky grin.
"Sure we do! Me, you and Dora went to-" Remus frowned, clearly displeased at my dislike towards his fiancee.
"Alone, Remus. Alone."
"Look, Sed. I'll spend sometime with you after the wedding. After. Look, don't get me wrong but-" Remus started trying to reason with me. I couldn't, I just couldn't anymore.
"SERIOUSLY?" I shrieked into his ear. Remus tried to calm me down, but I disregarded him and continued. "ARE YOU SERIOUS!" I got up off of the bed and started pacing the room.
"IS THAT ALL YOU CAN THINK ABOUT?" I was on a roll, so when Remus tried to interject a "Sed, stop!" into my rant, he failed miserably.
"DORA THIS! DORA THAT! WHATS NEXT, ARE YOU GOING TO TELL ME SHES PREGNANT NOW?" I paused and took a few deep breaths. One glance at Remus confirmed my greatest fear.
"Is she pregnant?' I asked, my voice would be almost timid if it weren't for the glare I sent him.
"Er, thats actually what I wanted to talk to you about.." Remus turned red as he said this.
"You didn't." I tried to catch his eye but his gaze remained downwards. "No." I couldn't believe it! "No., no, no!"
I lifted Remus' chin, forcing him to look at me. "Sedlin, I can do whatever I want with whoever I want. It's none of your business." His word brought tears to my eyes, blurring my vision and dispersing all traces of common sense.
'IT IS MY BUSINESS!" I let out a bitter laugh. "Can't you see it?' I knew I sounded delusional, but to me, it was the truth. When he shook his head, I laughed again. "I love you! You idiot! And you love me too!"
"No I don't." He spoke slowly, as if talking to a child. "I love Dora. We're getting married, remember?"
I slowly walked towards him, backing him into a corner. "But you love me," I tried to steal a kiss, but he pushed me away before sending me a glare.
"You. Are. Crazy." He said as he stalked out the door.
I let out a wicked laugh. I hope my dear Remus didn't think I'd leave him alone! Oh no, this is only the beginning!
