Summary: Lynn Prophet isn't a girl that's been through a car accident, abusive parents, or even below average grades. She's normal. No sob stories, no hero stories. But because of that, she wasn't a standout. She was one of those girls that was 'just there', causing not even the slightest commotion. Lynn never wanted to be that kind of boring girl that nobody would bother though, but she remained under her best friend's exuberant presence. However, a new disturbance and a sudden death in her quiet town causes her to act up as Lynn Prophet becomes something much more than that ordinary girl lurking in the hallways.

Review:

Shrug is one of my absolute favorite stories in Wattpad — it's unique, refreshing, and unexpected. The main character, Lynn, isn't always likable. She changes throughout the book as her surroundings and peers influence her, but it's relatable and gradual. The book is a little slow-paced, but the writer manages to make the book captivating by the way she writes. She has the ability to pull you in easily. The book is unforgettable and stays with you for a long time. It's one of the few books that have a place deep in my heart.

It stands out from other stories in all ways. The story's plot isn't remotely similar to other teen fiction works out there, and you can definitely connect to the characters. It deserves more reads and attention from readers, so check it out whenever you have the time. It will be time well-spent!

Beethoven

Sometimes people that have an impressive musical talent are referred to as being the next Mozart or Beethoven. Being a girl that works at a DVD and CD rental store only to listen to the free pop music, Kiara Bergmann was the perfect definition of someone not to call the next musical genius.

In no means is she musically talented, but she also doesn't expect to meet someone who is one. She meets a fellow teenager who claims that his name is Ludwig, and if the Wikipedia website was correct about "Ludwig van Beethoven", the charming boy Kiara encounters should've been buried in his grave a couple hundred years ago.

Despite the ridiculous course of events, it's real; seventeen year old Ludwig van Beethoven is somehow in the year 2014 and Kiara must send him back to the year 1787 before it's too late make amendments.

The Boyfriend Relay

Marcia Vargas is the type of girl who's not meant to be the heroine of any kind of story. Her seemingly flawless sister, Rochelle, is much better suited. Unfortunately, Rochelle has graduated from high school and is moving across the continent to Yale University. Marcia's expected to keep her sister's legacy by running the school's annual event, The Gentlemen Walk, in which girls can buy tickets to go on a short lived date in the hallways with a "gentleman" from a selection of boys of their choice.

But who's going to pick, train, and prepare these boys? That's right, Marcia. All hell breaks loose when she chooses a set of boys with a whole bunch of complications, which includes the school's most obnoxious athlete, a boy who can't even talk, one who prefers guys over girls, and so many more.

Not all love is lost for Marcia, though, as she develops more experiences, connections, and relationships with the boys, as well as her sister who's closer to her than she thinks.
