The Darkness

Darkness swallows those who are lost

Who searches for an answer

Who waits for a hand to help

Or a heart to guide.

No one sees this darkness,

Only the one consumed;

Blinded by its tight grip

Of the trapped, once strong.

They used to seek the rays of light,

The light which shatters the iron bars

The light which cuts the endless ropes

The light which frees the broken... The damned.

Everyone else ignores the Darkness,

Passed for tiredness and sorrow,

Percieved as harmless and fragile

Yet it destroys and conquers.

Though no scars immerge,

Their insides are broken and bleeds.

The Darkness is relentless

And fights for its way.

Yet everyday, the Lost continue on,

Broken and tired,

Dejected and low,

Needing and hungry,

Yet everyday, a smile is painted on top.
