Chapter one:book one Opener

Nash's pov:
"Damn it, aren't black guys supposed to be better at ball" Tez said and I laughed cutting him off and running in for a lay up.
"Whatever man, I gotta go back to the cafe though, see ya tomorrow" I said and he nodded and I put my ear buds in and my hood up and began to jog home dribbling my ball.
I went to cross the street and saw a set of headlights that almost killed me and looked up and my eyes met the beautiful and mysterious Chloe Lukasiaks.
She not only is one of the most popular cheerleaders at our school, but she is also my asshole half brothers girlfriend.
"Are you gonna fucking go?" She yelled and I rolled my eyes and jogged to the cafe.
"Hey Nash, how was the river court" my mom asked and I smiled.
"Good, hey Kalani" I said to my bestfriend Kalani Hilliker and she smiled.
"Hello Nash" she said and we all sat at a table.
Kalani Hilliker is literally the biggest nerd of ALL time but it makes her special.
We talked for a bit and then I headed home.
-time skip to next day at school-
Nash's pov:
"Mr Grier, coach Durham wants to see you" the English teacher said and Hayes stood up.
"Oh not you Hayes, he'd like to see you Nash" she said and I looked up.
"Me?" I asked and she nodded.
"Uhhh ok" I said grabbing my bag and Kalani looked at me confused and I shrugged.
I walked down the hall and got to coaches office and knocked.
"Come in mr Grier" he said and I sat down.
"I've been watching you Nash, I've been very impressed by you actually" he said and I nodded.
"Thank you" I said and he laughed a little.
"How would you like to become an official Mooresville Raven" he asked and I looked shocked.
"Me?" I asked and he nodded.
"I uhhhh. Oh I don't know" I said and he smiled.
"Think about it boy, this is a once in a lifetime offer" he said and I nodded getting up and leaving.
"What did he want?" Kalani asked running up to me and I looked down at her.
"He asked me to join the Ravens" I said and she smiled.
"Nash! That's awesome!" She said.
"Yeah, but, Chad and Hayes" I said and she rolled her eyes.
"Don't let them ruin this opportunity for you Nash" she said and I sighed as we walked to our next class.
-river court-
Nashs pov:
"He what?!" Tez yelled and I shot the ball.
"He shoots! And he scoresssss" Tez cheers as I shot the ball in the hoop and I laughed a little.
"Dude join the Ravens!" He said and I rolled my eyes.
"I would, but I'm not. Do you know how bad that would be" I said passing him the ball.
"No, you're way to good to be playing around here on this little court man. You belong out there in the blue and black" he said and I laughed a little.
"Mhmm and then I'd get to see my lovely father and asshole brothers faces every day" I muttered.
"It might be a good idea though Nash" Aaron said.
"No way" I said shooting it again.
-at home-
Nash's pov:
"Why are you out here" I asked laughing sitting next to my mom on the stairs and she laughed.
"Fresh air, and uhh this was on the steps" she said handing me a yellow package and I sighed opening it and seeing the jerseys.
"What are those?" She asked.
"Whitey asked me to join the Ravens today" I said and she looked shocked.
"Are you going to?" She asked and I shrugged.
"I don't know if I want to" I said.
"You should Nash! Don't let Chad scare you off" she said and I nodded and we headed in.
