Dreaming is like projecting your deepest thoughts and wants into your brain and it plays though like a film. But sometimes your worst fears and hates can be put into your dreams. These are called Nightmares.
But as you read this your wondering why I am telling you this?
This is the story of a man who is stuck in a coma and walks through his dreams.
My name is Max. I was Canberra counties best officer. In my career I had racked up nearly 150 arrests. But during a high speed pursuit a filthy scumbag by the name of Jack shot my partner in the head a in my shoulder. Then this lunatic threw a grenade and blew up my car. I'm not sure if I am dead.
But it I still can hear my heartbeat. It's strange. Prehaps I'm in a coma. I don't know. But hear it's like in in heaven I get to walk amongst my dreams.
It amazing. It's a massive city filled with every thing i could want. It's nice but it's a nightmare some times. Don't forget since this is the city in my head that also means that my Nightmares are also real. It gets scarey. But this how I learned to face my fears and spit in the eye of everything I hate.
So I walked into the Nightmare district and I started seeing thing is was scared off. Loss of my family. Seeing the closest ones I love die. But I push through and see my greatest fear. Me
Well the side of me that was not loyal. Not loving. An alcoholic. Everything that was the opposite of what I was. It was the most negative thing that I have ever seen. This is what I came hear to face. I look down and see the gun that I have holstered to my leg. I pull it out and point it directly at him. 'I do not Fear you any longer.' And blast away at him. Each bullet hits it's mark. But as each bullet does so the Nightmare district starts disintegrating. I smile and continue Firing everything in the gun. I smile and pull out a knife that I have kept my boot and decapitate him.
I have destroyed my worst fear. But then my dream city starts collapsing in on itself. The night sky cracks open.
and I awake.
