It was Christmas day when my family and I went to the mall to watch a movie from the yearly film festival held during Christmas day onwards. When we arrived at the mall it was around 1pm. When we reached the top floor we were surprised because of the surprisingly long line from the ticket booth. I decided to ask my cousins to play and fool around the arcade.
I got a card for myself and went to the guitar hero section and the drum section because those two were the games that have been my favorite since I was a kid but I sucked at it. When I got to that section there was a woman practically a mom playing the drums so I just watched er until her game was over but when I was about to sit on the chair I realized that there was a guy who was also waiting for the woman's game to be over. So to be kind and polite I asked him to go first.
"Uhm.. I think you should go first" I replied with a smile. "No it's okay, I actually think you were the first one."
he replied. "No it's fine I'm just gonna take the guitar." "Okay" I took the guitar and put the strap on my shoulder to keep it in place.
I suddenly felt a tap on my shoulder with a drumstick "Is it okay if we collab?" I was bewildered because I have no idea how the fuck would you collab but instead I replied with "Yeah sure" I just let him press the buttons and I can't help but look this handsome stranger's face. I study his face while he's choosing a song to play. He turned to look at me and I quickly look away. "You ready?" "Yeah"
The song started and i was a bit panicking because the song he chose was so fucking hard i can't even hit the right chords properly. The song ended and I got a D. "Was it hard?" he asked. "Yeah for me. But I think you rocked it" I smiled at him shyly because I didn't realize that I complimented him. "Thanks.." I heard him say.
"Don't worry I'll find something easier." "Thanks. Sorry I suck at this." I replied with a laugh. "Let me find a song first okay?" he told me and I nodded. I was nervous because I don't want to be embarrassed in front of him. He was saying something that I didn't understand so he leaned into my ear and said "This song is quite easy don't worry". I can't help but feel shivers down my spine because of his voice. "Okay here we go" I looked at him and he starting to nod his head to the beat of the song. I concentrated to the song and try to hit the chords perfectly. The song was over and I surprisingly got a B. But of course he got an A. He held his hand up high and I didn't know what's to do because I don't get what he was trying to do or tell me. "High five?" I quickly realized and replied "Oh" and hit his hand with mine.
I felt my phone vibrate so I unlocked it and read a text message from my aunt telling me to get my cousins and go near the cinema. I quickly get my bag but I realized that I still have one credit left so I tapped him and said "Hey i have one credit left but I gotta go. Do you want to play it?" "Yeah sure, if it's okay with you." "Of course. Thanks! I gotta go bye" "See ya later! bye" and with that I exited the arcade with my cousins.
